picked up the at-at today on my lunch break. the box is friggin' huge. can't wait to get home and open it.

I found the first Vintage wave at my local Target last night. I then checked Wal-Mart for Jabba, but no luck on him yet.

Saw that my store had the new Anakin set out, did a quick check and found out tehre was a box in the back. Went back and picked out a case and grabbed the Cad set. Shame its 1 Plo and Cad set per case, but 2 Anakins. As of right now the pegs that are already filled up with anakins and 1 Plo.

AAAND Jabba is now mine. What's even better is he will be shipping from in state, and near my old stomping grounds. Kinda bitter that I could have found him in person though had I still been in college. Ah well - by next week Jabba will have arrived.

Wow, that's like almost double the MSRP though. I'm sure he'll be found in store, I'll just wait.

I know, but I don't trust my stores. Some times they get tons of things around here, other times we don't get squat. Like the AT-ST didn't show up until about 2 months after it was released. And I want this thing BAD.

I get pretty lucky, I came close to paying insane on eBay for the upgraded Rancor and then one day was walking through a Target and there it was. I'll hold off on eBay until it seems like that's my only way to get him, I can wait to get it, but I do want to get him so if that's my only option I'll do it, but he's just out, too soon to give up on finding him in store.

Yea, I understand that feeling. For me it seems I never find something, get it off eBay, then 2 weeks later it's in every fracking store around me.

why pay so much for it? You should be able to find them easy after the 1st. Im wanting it but Im gonna wait until mid next week to get myself one.

Yeah, I've been bitten by that a few times, but usually would be ok with it beause I bought it thinking it was this or not at all, so even though I overpaid in the end, the feeling of securing one compensated for it, but, I like to give finding it in person a chance first.

Like I said, the stores around me suck. We seem to be a medium traffic area and not a high traffic so there's a slower turn over of stock. I have 3 Wal Marts I hit regularly - and only 1 seems to be a high volume store and it's a drive. My two closest are very hit or miss and this is one I do not wanna miss.

I've received so far out of the new waves:

2010 Snowspeeder: Buy it. Do not hesitate, it's perfect. Even the "toy" firing versions of the weapons look good and not overtly over-sized. The weapons fire far, the paint aps and numerous and well applied. My only compliant is it can be hard to open the air brake pads, which is very minor. It's a hair smaller than the old version, but don't let that put you off, it's miles better. (GF bought as gift - Amazon $35 shipped)

Besbin Luke: Almost perfect. The sculpt is great, and there is a ton of articulation, but the hips (with ball joints!!!! Woo hoo!!) are about a quarter inch too wide. Would have been nice if it had a removable hand, but still a great figure. (TRU Website $10 free shipping)

Boba Fett: Definitely worth picking up, but the paint really bugs me. They applied a light dry brushing of silver over the armor bits, with the intention of them being battle scratches... but in practice it makes the armor look pearlescent. Rocketpack falls off way too easy. Has a soft removable helmet and nicely painted guns. (TRU Website $10 free shipping)

Dengar: The surprise of the bunch, a really great figure with tons of personality and articulation. I didn't expect to like him as much as I do. Backpack and groin armor fall off way too easy, but otherwise pretty much perfect. I finally have great renditions of all the bounty hunters. Thanks Hasbro! (TRU Website $10 free shipping)

AT-AT Commander: Most disappointing. The helmet is huge on his head, and when pushed all the way down it covers his nose. His arms could have used more texture as well. (TRU Website $10 free shipping)

Snowspeeder Guy Who isn't Luke: Again, the helmet is huge on his head. I ended up shoving several strips of cardboard into his helmet to get it to fit right. Had odd thumbs, as do a few of the figures. Once his helmet fits snugly, he is a really cool, although obscure, figure. (TRU Website $10 free shipping)

Picked up the Snowspeeder today and Vintage Hoth Leia.

I noticed there is a variation up here with the vintage cards at Walmart not having the Boba offer printed on the cards but, the ones i found at TRU did have the offer printed on them and both were trilingual.
