Anyway, I think the reaction to what that guy was saying about opening the Gamorrean Guard was an overreaction caused by these other things that had been happening.

Gotcha, thanks for the context... I wasn't familiar with the U grading. Personally I think AFA is idiotic, but totally understand the attraction for collectors who are into that sort of thing.

But again, it just seems to take away a lot of the fun of a hobby to have a figure hermetically sealed in plastic like that. Although; if I even found a stash of super mint carded figures I know I'd be getting that ____ graded and charge out the ass for them :rock :rock :rock :lol

I don't abide by them in my collection, but I'd love to make scratch off of others who do :hi5:

Another job for the time travel machine :rock

Anybody know if the UPC's from the AOTC and ANH waves can be used for the Rocket Firing Boba Fett?

Man, it's unbeleivable to me that someone would get PO'd over someone opening a figure. Those guys seriously need to take a step back and chill. Seems that some figure collectors forget that this is supposed to be a fun hobby.

I've thought about buying some beat up carded ROTJ figures to open lately, just to get nice minty loose figures. Maybe I'll keep it a secret so the rebelscummers don't come after me :lol

No judging here. Hell, I have about 10 cards I may open because I got them back in the day on clearance for $2.00 or less. You can't get a loose figure for anywhere near that.

I guess I had more than I thought. :lol

AT-ST Driver
B-Wing Pilot
Bib Fortuna
Emperor
Emperor's Royal Guard
Klaatu x2
Klaatu (Skiff Guard)
Lando Calrissian (General Pilot)
Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard)
Nikto x 2
Prune Face
Rancor Keeper
Romba
Teebo
Warok

Well, I think you'd be much better off selling the carded ones rather than opening them since loose complete versions of those figures are very common and inexpensive.

I might be interested myself. :)

Are these extras you don't need? :D

I think I need Romba and Worak, loose only.

icruise, you're probably right about that. I just haven't taken the time to research it yet since I'm busy filling in the holes first.

Wor-Gar, unfortunately I don't have any loose versions of these yet, but I may take icruise's advise and get loose figures off eBay and sell these.

That's pretty cool man! I would be pretty tempted to crack some of those open too if the cards were trashed.

I get really jealous reading this thread....Over here in the UK, TRU have an exclusive deal to distribute the vintage carded figures, so they're the only game in town. Unfortunately, they've had nothing beyond the Sith Wave for about six months now........
