Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

Dude,
please share some pics!!

They're nothing special. Just a Toht from a SDCC Cobra Comander, a German Bike with Sidecar and a German Indy that I never even bothered completing the front pouches on. I'll try to post when I get home... If I can find the box they're in. After a month in our new house I just managed to get all my 12" figures unpacked.... And it's not as if my collection is huge at around 30 pieces.

Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

Wow, Hasbro actually got Toht's pistol (Walther P-38) correct! Can't say the same for Sideshow. Really excited about the prospect of more Hasbro Indy figures, can't wait to see more pics and get the scoop on the whole "Classic Video Game 2-Packs" thing.

A few years back Hasbro released some Star Wars exclusives for the Star Wars DVD and video game releases. They didn't pack in the figures with the games/movies, it was a cross promotion in separate packaging. I think that's the direction they are going in with these figures. Perhaps they will offer promotional, two packs for $14.99 to coincide with new or reissued video game releases at Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, TRU exclusives. If major retailers like these buy into a line as exclusives they could resurrect the line.

Poorly-made Indiana Jones collectibles don't sell.

Well somewhere in So-Cal there's a warehouse full of Arks, Belloqs and soon a bunch of fridges.

Yes, and those didn't sell because they were poorly made, badly sculpted, or too expensive for what they were. Not because they were Indiana Jones. Obviously, there's interest if we're on an Indiana Jones forum talking about it. It's great for collectors; It's just not a mass-retail line.

Apparently, from what I've heard elsewhere , this was all a big hoax. The pictures released could have been done by someone trying to mess with the Indy Fans out there. This hasn't been confirmed but several people have noticed other figure parts used on the figures shown in the pictures.

I haven't heard of anyone that attended comic con seeing these figures in person....Hasbro did NOT have them on display.

Yeah, if it is a hoax, whether by Hasbro or some customizer, it really is an awful prank to play. Somebody has way too much time on his hands.

I'd say it is a hoax. Funny thing is when looking at that Ark ghost I really thought I saw a Palpatine hood. Guess I did.

yup.. this stuff stirred up a hornets nest of accusations and insults over at the raven.net boards... from what I gather this was, in fact, a hoax... too bad... mre 3 3/4 figures would have been fun...

So the title of this thread needs to be changed back to "officially DEAD"
