Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

I'd rather have nothing. :lol

I'll figure it out. Hasbros making a Gambit figure, perhaps i'll use the coat or something.

Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

The SDCC Cobra Commander and the unreleased Toht figure use the same body sculpt, right down to the swastika pin (left blank on Cobra Commander, natch). Dig up the pics from the Hasbro SDCC Indy presentation and compare.

Wow, I never knew that. Here's a picture of my CC in black suit. I always thought that the pin was to be placed on the tie, I never saw it placed anywhere else. I really need to watch Raiders again sometime soon. I only have it on VHS.

Man, I just loved this line (after waiting the 20+ years for them to release something worthwhile). :monkey2

Hemble, what could you do with these? :D

i really hate that not only did the line die too early (thanks lousy distribution), but the TOD wave never really hit anywhere. Sure, some people got lucky and found them, but now im stuck dropping 20- a fig if i want any of them(and im an avid collector-its not like they showed in my area and i missed them-they never made it)...and to top it off, they still had a bunch of good characters they could have made...what a waste...

Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

They said the line would resume if Indy 5 was to be announced, Shia said it was coming. If so, you'll get the second Raiders wave and probably some new movie figs. Hopefully with better distribution the line can survive longer to delve into other characters and outfits.

Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

No surprise, it's hard to sell figures besides Indiana Jones.

Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

Back from the dead! Reports say that Indy figures are back at Hasbros booth this year, slated for video game packs. Toht, Ark Spirt and Dietrich are being shown.

I hope these actually make it to store shelves. Given the fast one Hasbro pulled on us last SDCC by displaying figures that were never released, I'm hesitant to get overly excited about this.

Love Toht though! He'll probably be one per case.

Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

Here is what we BETTER see. Toht and Dietrich, Marion and Suited Belloq, Indy and Mechanic, German Indy and German Soldier.. anything beyond that is gravy.

Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

What videogame would these tie in with? The rerelease of the Lego one? Regardless I'd be interested in a few if they actually are released. Wouldn't mind seeing the Temple ones either.

Yeah, I'd be happy with that. What we got from ToD and TLC I'm pretty satisfied with. I'd like to see the ToD wave get a wider release though, for those folks who missed out.

Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

^^^^ yes. I needed that Toht!

Now give us a better sculpted Indy (which looks like Harrison), Marion in her white dress, and another Belloq.

Pictures not being shown... got a link?

Re: Hasbro line officially dead!

Prototypes look nice. So did the TODs. So does 90% of the clearanced Indy stuff at TRU (Target and Walmart have since ridden themselves of everything but the Legos). I'll wait until we actually see them on store shelves (specialty or not) to get excited. ATM this is nothing more than hot steam.
