Hey LasVegas...I had never heard of the Star Wars Chronicles book, which is stupid of me as I have the making of SW, TESB, the Sculpting a Galaxy and SW Archive books, but that book looks amazing. I assume it is totally worth getting?

Obviously any Speeder Bike model pics would be massively appreciated. Thank you.

:hi5:

If you can still find it, it is worth getting. But it was pretty expensive. I think I paid either $150 or $199 for it. I purchased it just so I can, somewhat, accurately paint a few models I was building (Millennium Falcon, Red 5, etc.).

I'll get you some pics in the next few days.

Vegas...just bought a copy, £50 plus postage ...what a bargain. Thanks for the heads up on this book. Cannot wait to get it. Cheers Dude :clap

Das Boot!

Here is the finished holster boot. Made in miniature the same way as the original full size holster. Hope you like it. Needs cleaning up and painting though.

Have cut and primer front blades and am working on the suspension arms from the chassis to the forks. Also cut the instrument top panel and primed and re-primed and filled and primed and reprimed the panniers!!!

Should be time soon to get the body browned.

When I started this...I thought...hold back this time...just a few changes...don't go too crazy....Oh well.

Also added rivets to the front jowels, then removed them as too bit ( tried to match the Hasbro rivets!!). Will add smaller ones next time.

More pics to follow.

Thanks for lookin in.

Vegas, the book is new and still sealed...what are the odds! Got it off ebay too! Just organising shipping within Uk so should be with me in a few days. Cannot wait.

Today, been finishing the panniers. I added the curved ends to the cut out.

Thants all for now folks. Working on the nose mounts for the blades and the instrument panel at the moment. Pics soon.

Oh, forgot that before I received the Speeder Bike, I started on the Scout Trooper's Sniper Rifle. Called the APR-10A, its an Advanced Plasma Rifle. I thought the german WW2 machine gun looked good, but did not really think it looked like a sniper rifle, so I built my own.

I am really happy with these two pieces. They came out well IMHO

Great stuff, Scally! Look forward to seeing this one come together. The improved linkages alone make me want to follow suit!

Nathan

Really nice attention to detail on all your pieces. Im looking forward to seeing the Bike and the rest of your trooper come together. Good stuff here.

:clap Subscribed! Your speeder bike is truly inspiring.

I've followed the progress of a few threads in the past where people were customizing them but yours has finally made me want to seriously start working on mine. Awesome work!

Cheers, don't forget to post some pics.

Bit of a problem last night. Was working on the diorama base and trying to drill two 2mm steel pates that I hoped would anchor the figure to the base..but after 30 minutes of trying to drill the first plate I gave that idea up as a crappy idea.

Back to the drawing board. I have had another idea..but did not know if such a solution existed. Hit google and such a beast exists...so off to find a few. Will let you know how it turns out. This part of the build is to say the least...All Important, because without a super strong bond to the base, the figure will not support the weight of the Speeder Bike.

It's funny, when I first took the bike out of the box I was suprised at how light it was...but as I get nearer to finding a way to mount it...It seems a lot heavier now..must be those thin layers of black primer :lol

Back Soon. Keep Tuned.

One thing I am having trouble with, is my Cummerbund. I ( perhaps too hastily ) cut the original off, thinking the one I would build would look better :)cuckoo:) and lo and behold...mine looks cruddy.

Anyone make them on the forum?

Any help Appreciated. Cheers.

Not sure of the merits of these shots. The Speeder is in stealth mode.

Being all black, not sure how easy it will be to see chamges but I think it should show the linkages and maybe even the rivets added to the side of the lower lip.

Welcome, Scallyway! I am also a new 1/6th collector. I started last August. It's been a wild ride.

This is a sweet project, and you just went for it. I love that. The props in this movie make great art for the home. I'll be looking forward to watch you create and the progress as you move along. Awesome.

BTW, Nice sniper rifle.....I have a nice sniper pellet gun that looks sort of like that...got me in a bit of trouble with the tactical police force a couple times. :lol
