It does feel a bit meh. But I do have it on order so it'll be a nice placeholder till HT gives us a better one. I might actually take a shot at rehairing this one in the meantime.

They already have the Power Loader prototype - it would be a no brainer - release her with and without the powerloader. A two-pack with Newt would be a great option too!

EDIT: The face sculpt looks very similar on the PT release to the HT 2.0 prototype - I wonder if PT obtained it somehow?

Also think it's pretty similar, Probably they recast it

My crazy guess is that hot toys it's behind all those third-party companies and they just have lower qualities/or teams for the unlicensed figures and the laugh at us every time we think there are other companies making figures lol

Maybe with some weathering on the outfit, sneakers, and a retouch on the sculpt we can have something a little bit decent also since the neck it's rubberized there is a chance of making it a little bit thicker so the sculpt looks more natural

I like the prototype expression way more. It wasn't a perfect likeness but it had emotion. They gave her another blank expression just like HT. All they had to do was trim the hair on the proto. Damn

I jumped on this when first up for pre-order. The sculpt is closer to Ripley, but I agree the one first shown had a bit more feeling in it......I can work with and live with it. I may have a go at just removing the tabs on the zippers so they don't pouch out so much, plus age down the clothes. Overall, I'll be happy to have her in my collection!

I have no skin in this game nott buying it because of finances...

I see the final product head sculpt looks better than the proto...I just never saw Ripley in the proto.

Maybe the proto had better attitude due to the head tilt and eyes?

I am not sure why people are disappointed. I do wish it was below 200...

I didn't order but the figure looks better than hot toys sculpt.

Perhaps the paint apps and the mouth area?

I don't see the complaints with this maybe outside the 200 dollar price and maybe oversized zippers.

My power loader feels lonely, my old Ripley needs a nicer HS And the harness...
But 200$ seems a bit too much...
Will wait for spare parts or to find it second hands cheaper.

Lucky....I wish I had the power loader.

I didn't start really collecting 1/6 till recent past 3 years or so....some pieces hurt no having..Rip and the Power Loader are near the top.

It's a very cool piece.
And you can still find it in hk around 4000hkd boxed.
The paint job is obsolete tho.
I will probably try to
do a little weathering in mine.

But I think that hot toys will definitely release the updated version at one point, just les they just did with the terminators but it will be an expensive pack I'm sure.

Grrrr still undecided if I'm getting this Ripley....

I swapped the body just recently and reworked the suit, looks better proportioned.
Needs a better sculpt!

Not pretty sure how hard it'll be to get the sculpt but Giantoy still have Ripley in stock if you're interested
