I was on the fence so long for this - now I'm on the waitlist :thud:. Fun times ahead.

Yes fun time indeed. It took almost 2 months to sell this sucker out.

So the last 3 Marvel EXs are in the 300s? This could be a new trend now while DC in the 1000s?

Spiderwoman 325
Scarlet Witch 300
Hawkeye 350

ZOMG VS, I think I love this statue even MORE now since the ES is in the 3's!!!!

ZOMG :panic:

I figured the ES would be small since it's just a print, same as movie Thor. Most people don't care for a print only on the EX. I ordered day one, be a great statue.

Wow the ES is so small! Damn too bad I never expected this and it's gone just like that? Ah I guess it's ok. I'm not crazy about. The print anyways. So WL or no WL? Im going to wait it out.

Since the EX is just a print and the statue itself will be no different from the regular, this is how I look at it...

EX: Let's say the regular's ES is 750. 750 reg + 350 EX = 1100 ES for statue, and 350 ES for print.

So in other words that 350 ES is the ES of the print alone, and not of the statue...

I PO'ed this bad boy during SDCC...I know the EX is only a print, but the statue itself is simply too kick ass to pass up and I knew I had to have it.

Not to mention I love most of SSCs comic versions of Marvel characters. Congrats to those who have one locked and loaded and good luck to those on the wait list.

You fail to realize the popularity of DC

Yea DC has a HUGE following and now finally having a big hitter in SSC developing high quality statues for the line it's not absurd to see the ESs we've seen thus far and even less absurd to see them selling out.

Not to mention the quality of SSCs work has been fantastic and the Joker proved just how much hard work SSC plans on putting into the DC line.

Or rather, Batman and related characters ;)

Hawkeye is a b-level character at best. I don't think DC is more popular than Marvel, so much as Batman is more popular than anyone Marvel has, and DC really has the most iconic characters of all in Superman and Batman, which will probably always outsell anything Marvel could come up with. But you put Spidey, Hulk, or Wolverine up against anything else DC has and they beat it in terms of popularity and public identification IMO. And Marvel has more depth of reasonably well known characters, in part due to their success in cartoon and live action media. Move beyond the Justice League/Batman and his pals/rogues and who is random guy on the street gonna recognize from DC? With Marvel you've got the X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, and Spidey, Hulk, and Punisher on top of that.

I think more people on the street would recognize even Mystique before they would "major" Justice Leaguers who are big in the comics but have no mass appeal. Nothing beats DC's top 2, but Marvel is more recognizable overall. I love em all though!

Aside from popularity I also think the last 3 Marvel PFs also suffered from just not being as good as the last/first 3 DC PFs. You can't beat Batman, period, but SW and Spider-Woman just aren't as good as the other sculpts. And Hawkeye actually does look great, but not having a switch out part EX is the only reason it's ES isn't at least 500. They could have even just painted the EX bow and arrows brown and it would have probably been 500. Throw in Ant-Man and you would have had a winner.

Print = fail exclusive.

Ant-man would have been a great Ex.

You're way smarter than whoever is behind Hawkeye's exclusive. Well unless it's a fellow with a relative from a printer company, then he's brilliant.

Yeah, that print had to play a role in the low edition size. I was personally passing on it because I have no use for prints, and was gonna try to save a few bucks buying elsewhere. But if they had given him just about anything else barring a nameplate I would have jumped on the chance to get the ex. Even something as lame as Batman's batarang hand, which is about as lame a non-print/nameplate exclusive as SSC can do :lol
