This is how GRRM intended for the Iron Throne to look, or I should say this is how it "looks" in the books.

Whoa, that actually makes sense. :lol

Didn't the show make a joke about that? When Little finger and the bald guy are talking in the throne room one of them comments that's there's no way the throne (from the show) actually has thousands of swords. :lol

Yep, I thought that was pretty funny! :lol

I finally caught up on season 3... no wonder everyone was going ape**** after episode 9... still in shock... :horror

Finally got around to reading the books and I'm about 2/3 of the way through SoS. I have to say that it has me pretty excited about seeing how some of this plays out on the screen.

I just watched all three seasons, took about three weeks, and everyone kept telling me about the big shocker.. saw it coming a mile away

Great show though

That was great. :lol I love that he called him out on his 'decrepit old man' act.

We only saw him briefly drop that act once before. I can't remember if it was season 1 or 2 though. I do remember Joffrey was king at that point.

Yep, that scene was in season 1. After Grand Maester Pycelle slept with Ros, he bored her with political talk. When she left, he stood up, straightened his back, and did a bunch of stretching exercises. Then, he got dressed, walked to his door, and hunched back over before walking out. :lol

I hated that we didn't get to see much of the sneaky Grand Maester in season 3. This would've been his biggest scene. He only got a handful of lines in the whole season, almost all in the final episode.

To those of you that own the disc sets, do they contain alot of deleted scenes, and are most of them worth seeing?

The first season had no deleted scenes on the blu-ray/DVD set because they used just about every single scene they filmed. The second season did have some that can be found on YouTube.

I don't watch Suits (on USA) but did anyone else catch that one promo commercial for their new season that was set up like GOT? I got a kick out of it. I guess the guy who plays the bald schemer (he has hair in the promo) and Lady Stark are on the show so they used that for the joke. :lol

With a cast as massive as that of 'Game of Thrones', sometimes recasting certain roles is just practical. The series has already replaced actors in the roles of Ser Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane and Beric Dondarrion -- both initially background characters with more significant roles going forward. And now, it appears, the show is doing the same for a Lannister.

'Games of Thrones' Recasts a Lannister for Season 4The role of Tommen Lannister -- Joffrey's little brother -- will be played by Dean-Charles Chapman in season 4. The round-faced princeling was played by Callum Wharry in the first two seasons of the show, but did not appear at all in season 3.

As fans of the book series know, Tommen becomes much more prominent at this point in the story -- he even gets speaking lines! -- and it's important to have a capable actor in the role.

If you're wondering where you've seen Chapman before, though, that's because he's already been on 'Game of Thrones.' That's right -- the actor appeared in season 3 in a completely different role: that of Martyn Lannister, the young prisoner killed by Robb Stark's bannermen. Of course that was a bit part, and it seems unlikely that he'll be remembered -- or recognizable -- in his new role.

This news was originally broken by WinterIsComing.net, and HBO has not (as of this writing) made any official confirmation of Chapman's casting.

What do you think of the newest member of the Lannister family?

'Game of Thrones' season 4 will premiere in spring 2014.

:lol

That going to be funny seeing that kid show up again in another role. It was a small role but I remember both of those kids fairly well for whatever reason.
