Any hard proof of this? That would be kinda awesome.

Some, but it's VERY VERY "read between the linesy". The short version is that Rhaegar's Kidnapping of Lyanna stark ( which is the final spark that triggered Robert's rebellion ) was not a kidnapping. but that they were secretly in love. that while they were in the tower, Rhaegar concieved a child with her and that was the reason he left 3 members of the Kingsgaurd with her, as opposed to regular soldiers, when he departed for his final showdown with Robert.

Then Lyanna stark Dies in childbirth after Being "resuced" by her brother, and the deathbed promise he makes to her is to keep her son safe.

This is the LONG version, from the Wiki.
Many readers believe that Jon is not the son of Eddard Stark. Instead, he is the son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Eddard's sister Lyanna. Rhaegar and Lyanna disappeared together to the Tower of Joy early in Robert's Rebellion. There, it's believed, Rhaegar leaves a pregnant Lyanna to defend his family's dynasty.
At the end of Robert's Rebellion, about one year later, Eddard and his companions find three of the Kingsguard at the Tower of Joy: Lord Commander Ser Gerold Hightower, Ser Oswell Whent, and Ser Arthur Dayne. The reasons for their presence and the ensuing fight are unknown, but defending the unborn son of the Heir Apparent would be a good reason to have been posted. The only known survivors of the fight were Eddard himself and Howland Reed. Eddard recalls his sister dying "in a bed of blood," where he made her an unknown promise just before she died.
Also, while Robb, Sansa, Bran and Rickon are said to have Tully features (hair color, eyes), Jon and Arya are said to be closer in appearance (which had made Sansa believe Arya was also a bastard like Jon, until her mother put Sansa's theory down). Arya is said to resemble Lyanna.
Further evidence to the truth of this theory in the eighth Eddard chapter of A Game of Thrones, in which Ned contemplates the significance of King Robert's bastards. As he muses, Ned's thoughts drift to Jon Snow, a logical segue, but also to his sister Lyanna, the promise he made her, and to Rhaegar Targaryen, implying some tacit link between the three individuals.[1]
Daenerys Targaryen's visions in the House of the Undying include an image of Rhaegar with his newborn son Aegon, proclaiming that "there must be a third" because "the dragon has three heads". Given that, according to Jon Connington, Rhaegar's wife Elia was believed infertile after two difficult pregnancies, and that Aegon the Conqueror himself had two wives, it is logical for Rhaegar to have attempted to fulfill prophecy by having a third child with another woman.
If Rhaegar secretly married Lyanna, it would ironically mean that Jon is not a bastard despite his life having been defined by his believed bastard status to a great extent, and that he is the heir to the Iron Throne after Aegon VI Targaryen (although this last point is rendered moot so long as he belongs to the Night's Watch).
With Eddard beheaded by King Joffrey, Howland Reed is the only living person who knows the nature of Lyanna's death and what she made her brother promise.

That's ****ing cool, if it plays out that way! Thanks for the info.

In the first major casting news for season 4 of “Game of Thrones,” HBO has cast “The Good Wife” actor Pedro Pascal to play Prince Oberyn Martell.According to the books, the character is nicknamed “the Red Viper” and comes to Kings Landing seeking revenge for the death of his sister who was murdered by the Hound’s brother Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane. The interesting thing about this casting for fans of the show (SPOILER alert) is the hint that we may be seeing “The Mountain” again, who was last seen chopping the head off of a horse after he loses a jousting match to Sir Lawrence. The character has not appeared again on this show but did play a pivotal part in the eventual downfall of Ned Stark.“Game of Thrones” begins production next month and the fourth season will premiere next spring.

Yeah, second guy was a bit too lanky whereas the first actor really suited the role. Heard he took off to film The Hobbit (as one of the trolls). Hopefully he's back for season 4.

Everything after Wizard and Glass was weak. Only saved by the great epilogue of book seven.

Agreed. They were still worth the read, but the last book in particular was very disappointing. Almost an anti-climax. I still can't believe that I spent all last summer reading 5000 pages just for that.

That's what happens when you switch from a former pro wrestler to a former basketball player. Casting on this show is generally brilliant. That one? Not so much...

Wow! They really start filming this early and sit on them for a while huh? I guess that's how we get a full season without any breaks though. Odd they'd start filming a week before having to show up to SDCC though.

Good point, but I'm sure a lot of the main cast won't be filming yet. There's no telling at what location they started shooting, as I don't think they've stated that yet. For instance, if they start in Iceland, most of the cast won't be needed for that location, so they could easily make an appearance at SDCC.

For all I know, they could be filming scenes between Ser Davos Seaworth and Princess Shireen Baratheon again, neither of which I imagine would show up at SDCC, anyway.

This is how GRRM intended for the Iron Throne to look, or I should say this is how it "looks" in the books.

Didn't the show make a joke about that? When Little finger and the bald guy are talking in the throne room one of them comments that's there's no way the throne (from the show) actually has thousands of swords. :lol
