I don't think she'll have united kingdoms until the problem beyond the wall is solved. So I think many people think Jon might be the one that does that with his proximity to the wall and all. I do agree that Dany will at least be a key player in the final events (otherwise why introduce a character that has no interaction with the rest of the characters and stories). But I don't think she should be the one to win the throne. In the end, probably none of the main families will get it. Sam will get the throne :lol

I need to rewatch season 3, it seems like I've forgotten more that happened than I remember. :lol

Well it is called A Song of Fire and Ice for a reason. It's gonna come down to Danny and the dragon versus the White Walkers. I'm hoping Jon is in control of the White Walkers by then. :lol :lol

Ended up with the Lannister cover. I have the Targaryen cover for season one and the Greyjoy cover for season two. I wanted the Stark cover, but the Best Buy I went to was sold out of that. Plenty of Lannister covers, though. What I should have done is get Stark for season one, Greyjoy for season two (love teh Kraken sigil), and Targaryen for season three. Oh well.

Slipcover bros! I too have Targ/Grey/Lann. I felt the Stark cover was a little cartoonish for Season One, and the blacks/reds will look good together. I did get the Stark shield keychain from BB whichever year that was offered, so I guess I covered the Starks with that, heh.

Whassup, bro! When I started watching, I hadn’t read the books yet. And I won’t read the corresponding book until after the season has aired. My plan was to get the slip cover that highlighted the house that I felt had the most triumphant moment that season. I wanted the Stark cover for season one, but felt that the ending of season one with the dragons hatching best exemplified the high point of the season, so choose House Targaryen’s “Fire and Blood” sigil.

I chose the Greyjoy’s for season two because the Kraken and the “We Do Not Sow” motto is just bad ***.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the Starks will ever be triumphant (unless it happens in the future) but I still want the Stark sigil slip cover, as I feel like the Lannisters will still be featured in the future and they will have a repeat slip cover again.

Not knowing what happens beyond this season, I think House Bolton and House Tyrell would have good slip covers. The Arryn sigil is okay as well, and while I hope we see Blackfish Tully again and he gets justice and revenge on the Freys, I don’t think the Tully sigil is as nice as the others.

Nah, Dany is a spoiled brat. She isn't worthy of the throne. I hope she lands on Westeros only to be stepped on by one of her dragons :lol

:lol That post is worthy of a rep point!

Yeah, a -ve rep point! :cuss :lol

Surprised many of you think Daenerys is a "spoiled brat". I never got that impression from her. In fact, I've always thought the complete opposite.

Obviously she wants the Iron throne and believes she has the only right to it, but she seems to genuinely care about the slaves she's freed. She hasn't forced any of them to join her and has made it clear that they can forge their own paths.

She's like the opposite of her brother Viserys, who I think fits the "spoiled brat" description perfectly.

She feels entitled to the throne same as her brother. That's why she's a spoiled brat. She has NO CLAIM to the throne, not anymore. Her dad was a loon and got dethroned. They fled for their lives and went into hiding. Her claim is totally invalid. Her family lost the throne fair and square through war. If she wants it back she'll have to fight for it, which she obviously plans on doing. But her walking around saying she's the heir to the throne, blah blah blah is utter garbage. She has as much claim to the throne as Theon Greyjoy.

Of course she doesn't have a claim to the throne, and her father was a loon, but is this supposed to be common knowledge to her? How old was she when her father was dethroned?

As far as she knows, her family was betrayed and slaughtered.

This, thats exactly what she thinks and is led to believe.

Whether or not Dany is entitled to the Iron Throne, she has done what few other characters have, which is play the game wisely. While the Lannisters, Baratheons, etc... go to sleep wondering if they will wake up with their throats slit, she's surrounding herself with people that are actually loyal to her. Liberating The Unsullied was an awesome move. As much as I like the Starks, they did some really stupid things. Did they really think that there would be no consequences for dishonoring the Frey's? The Red Wedding was definitely shocking but not surprising.
My favorite characters are Tyrion, John Snow, & Dany and I wouldn't mind seeing any one of them on the Iron Throne. I just hope that Joffrey finally gets whats coming to him Season 4.:lol

That's true, but Dany hasn't had to work very hard to obtain that trust for some reason. The three dudes who are her advisers and military leaders follow her with no real effort on her part. Then, with the Unsullied and slaves, she simply said, "You are free. Go if you want." And they all decided to stay on with her, essentially because of her charisma or magical charm, and maybe in the case of the slaves, the fact that she had the dragons.

So, yeah, it's easy to be smart and surround yourself with people who want to be with you when everyone wants to be with you anyway. The Starks have a hard ****ing time trying to keep their alliances together, or at least did in Robb's case. The Lannister's take an extremely Machiavellian perspective, out of necessity, because they are dealing with groups who act more realistically, out of narrow self-interest.

I would say that Tywin has done the most by far, going back to well before the series ever started, helping to oust the insane king, marrying his daughter to Robert Baratheon, constantly working to keep expanding his sphere of influence and his allies in check, etc. But then again, he just wants his family in charge and not himself. Dany didn't even have an interest in the throne until very recently, and though she had a few rough patches, has had pretty smooth sailing following her run-in with the magician guy in season 2.
