Has anyone heard of the host before? Only recently joined Instagram, so I'm kinda skeptical.

Should be legit if Yi Xie is sending people to him.
From chat he seems fine, better than Por.
Not a long wait time for this either which has me a bit more optimistic.

I lost any interest in this guy's project because he went behind John's back even tho they are friends to make this which is basically John's sculpt with a different mouth.
At least it's VERY similar.
He did that because his last Joker project was a flop.

Shades of Heise/Yuan there.

So from now on I won't support his projects just like I won't support Yuan's work anymore.

I actually thought that sculpt was by John.

He didn't even tell him about his new project, John learned about it at the same time we collectors did... S***ty move in my book.

Yeah, that's true. Should be within the 6 month PayPal protection.

I agree they look very much alike, but at this point most popular expressions have already been done. So it's difficult to come up with something completely different/unique, there are plenty of sculpts that look similar to each other.

But not a cool move if he did it behind his back, he could've just talked to John about it. I don't think John would have made a big deal about it.

I agree on that part even tho it's quite soon to revisit it and have it done by the same exact sculptor... But that's alright, he's allowed to.

My problem is that he didn't talk about it to John while he did talk about the first project to him and benefitted from his help a lot...
But now all of a sudden when he decide to do a new project that is basically the same one as John with a different mouth he doesn't tell him about it nor does he ask for help for it ?
He clearly went behind his back on purpose there and that's not something you do to your friend.
It's already not cool to do that to someone you don't know in my opinion.

But it is what it is, no turning back now.

I think appart from that he's legit, I think you guys can order from him.

so it’s possible he’ll be ready for more by then.

Debating whether or not to have him paint both this and his Interrogation sculpt or to paint this one myself. $210 isn’t bad.

I hope so. At least he’s not completely quitting the hobby like he intended.

Yeah, no hate towards John, but his “new” sculpt kinda feels like a money grab. All he did was close the mouth, added another $100 on top and increased the addition size.
I haven’t seen many go for $300 or more apart from some Balloon Man sculpts.

Yep, I paid $270 USD for the sculpt Heise made, Dai’s was $305 USD but I got a refund. $300+ for a blank sculpt does seem greedy.

Seeing that Yi Xie sculpted both, if they are fine with it, the artist, then that’s all there is to it. It’d be different if the original sculptor denounced it, not create it.

An extra run of 20 altered sculpts is better than the sculpt getting sold to Hot Toys for mass production.

Will order soon.

He may, he may not, certainly won’t miss a sculpt I like worrying about his decision though. I’m thinking of painting this one myself with the cleaner makeup, leaving the more detailed Interrogation paint to him.

He can’t paint the sample fast enough though.
Really want to see it.

I'm not comfortable calling John greedy, considering he offers the best value for money in in the custom world at the moment.

Yeah, $300 for a scupt is pushing it, but he makes up for it with his painting / rooting price.

I guess it might be his way of discouraging people from taking it to someone else and getting it worked. Then again, that won't stop recasters..
