ehh :dunno Heath's an actor anyway. Besides, there's not alot of inspiration from this guy. He sway back n forth like he can't stay still long enough to finish his smoke. And maybe the voice but it takes alot more....like the mouth/tongue movement that Heath does an excellent job on.

The voice sounds definitely eerie close, very close to Heath, Obviously Heath added stuff like the tongue movement, but yeah, is weird,

Wow, jump in at the 2 minute mark. Crazy how close it is. But that's what an actor does, he takes something he's seen before and goes with it. Plus check out The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus where Heath and this guy act together. At one point Heath actually does a line that is straight from Dark Knight.

Ya I always felt that "Where's Harvey Dent!?" was a little out of place in that scene.:monkey1

There is nothing new under the sun. Even old Tom Waits stole liberally from others, despite the fact that he's a true American original in the sum of his influences and one of my favorite singer/songwriters of all time. Just listen to some old Howlin' Wolf then listen the Waits wail.

What line are you talking about?on another note,on the blue ray extras there is a wardrobe test and heath does a lot of the expressions he uses in the dark knight.

good art is born of passion and inspiration... drawing on others and their experience may not be as much premeditated as it is simply being influence struck. art is in the action, and whatever Heath's process, the residue of his action was brilliant.

Definitely similar. VEry cool to see that. Thanks for sharing!

I was just waiting for him to grab the interviewer by the collar and tell him a story about his smokes.

I have thought Tom Waits was his primary influence since I saw TDK at the premier. I liked it.

:exactly:

The only news here is that apparently a lot of people have never heard Tom Waits talk before.

I'll admit that it's been so long that I forgot what he sounded like.

Now that I think about it, i've actually never head him speak.

Wait....now that I think about it, i've never even heard of this guy. :lol
