I love it so far. The controls aren't perfect but as a whole it's great.

I think I screwed up already though. I don't want to spoil anything but I know I didn't give the right information at a certain point cause I didn't remember the exact circumstances. I was tempted to go back and redo it but I'm gonna let it go and see what happens cause I think that's the fun of it.

Well, that's probably the beauty of the game, if you mess up it only leads you down a different path, whereas in any other game it's "Game Over"

Does this game not auto save?!?!?! I played for over an hour, and went to the main menu...then went to load up my game and it had the prologue section only....no saved game found....

Do you have to manually save? I sure dont see an option for that?

from what i'm reading at GameFAQS, there is no manual save, and sometimes the autosave can get corrupted. not sure if that happened to u

I wonder if its that update....I was playing for about 90 minutes, and now, when i go to the main menu, it has just the very beginning saved....WOW...what bad news. Thanks for the link

When I went to the option Continue it said exactly where I left off. Sorry to hear about that happening to you man and hopefully it was only the once.

I'm really enjoying it so far and I'm only on the third chapter. So glad I decided to play this one even though I read a spoiler thread on another forum by mistake. The poster didn't add spoiler tags so I skimmed down down and saw who the killer is.

Yeah, but I guess its my fault for not avoiding it. I just wanted to see how many chapters total are in the game.

Man, I wanted to play more of this tonight, but my GF hogged it all to herself. She rarely plays games, but she's smitten with this one. I had to grumble on the couch as she played through 3 hours of the game.

I had gotten about two hours in the late afternoon, so I reached the point where you're introduced to the main female character and...

saw the part in which she undressed to take a shower.

As I was watching my gf playing that part I was wondering how she would react to seeing nudity in a video game. You know what she said?

Yeah it was surprising.

To be honest, I was very worried about how nudity would be handled in the game. I'm not the type that welcomes pointless and exploitative sexuality in video games, and because Heavy Rain is so realistic it would seem even more like voyeurism, but Fortunately it was tastefully done and it isn't just pandering to an adolescent male audience (because there are some shots of male nudity too, you know, for the ladies).

Granted, Im not too far in the game, so I don't know how far the game will take it.

I ended up deleting everything and restarting, but without the online download....saved just fine this time...! Weird...!
