Little late here, just finished the 2-hour season premiere.

A solid opener but one thing didn't make sense. In last season's finale Bohannan was offered the job to complete the railroad by the government investigators/soldiers (cavalry??). Yet in the season premiere he spent the whole winter there? What happened in between that Bohannan had to fight to get that job?

Btw, that Mormon father, what a gutless wonder for letting his son take the fall.

I miss Dominique McElligott (Lily Bell).

Just caught the 2 hour premiere. I enjoyed the 2nd hour much better. To be honest, I was a little lost with all of the snow/mountain man stuff in the beginning...

The mormon story line was a good one. But the show really felt different without Lilly. I will miss her character.

Thinking back on season 2... The priest died but I cant remember what happened to the indian. What happened to his character?

They somewhat explained it. When Bohannan went to the board meeting they said they thought he was dead. We're left to presume the winter knocked out their telegraph, a skeleton crew stayed on at Hell on Wheels and everyone died except for Bohannan. The rest of the folks were in Omaha.

Between what happened with the priest, and Ruth being a total c u next tuesday to him, I believe he just left. I don't recall them going into any detail about where he went. Joined back up with his people is my guess. I'm thinking we'll probably see him again with the heavy focus on Indian slaughter this season.

The Swede is back. Way to ruin an absolutely perfect ending for both that character, and that chapter of the story.

:gah:

This seriously kills my enthusiasm for the rest of the season.

Not me! Yaaaaaaaay! :lol

Me neither! I expect him to kill that family at any moment. :lol

I didn't get to see it. I's too tared and slept in.

Fill me in on the Mormons please. :)

Here ya' go, Ween. You can watch the whole episode.

If I remember correctly, Joseph went back to be with the Cheyenne after he killed the Reverend.

I kept thinking.......here it comes......no........oh here it comes.......no.....

I can......where? :impatient:

Someone explain to me why O'Toole's brother would want the baby? And did I hear him right in saying he would marry her and raise the baby?

You heard right, he said their custom is to marry the dead brother's wife. I guess that family is real Old Testament.

Ahh, I see. Makes sense, thanks. :wave

I'm not sure what The Swede is up to, but it can't be good. It really doesn't look good for the father, though.

That was one hell of of game of lacrosse! I hope we see Jimmy Two Squaws and Buffalo Face again. :lol

This is just what I think might happen. The Swede becomes a Mormon and is at peace with himself then he finds out about Bohanon killing that Mormon kid and goes bat**** crazy again.

The episode itself was just ok, but Jimmy 2 (or 3) Squaws was massively entertaining. Saw that ending coming a mile away, as I'm sure did everyone else.

It seems like the Swede's game is to kill the father and adopt his family. I still wish he'd stayed dead, but I can't deny that Christopher Heyerdahl is compelling to watch.

I guess I'm the only one who's glad he showed back up. Which I knew he would get the rope slipped and he went into the river.

And the Swede may kill the father sooner or later, but I'm sure he'll make it look like the Indians did it or something.

I like that The Swede is back. He's a great villain.

I thought the scenes between Eva and Elam were great last night. They seemed so genuine.
