In a fit of 'fiscal irresponsibility', I put myself on the wait list for this critter. Here's to some hopeful cancellations in September, icruise! :wacky

Good to hear, not too surprising considering the ES is 1,000. But still, nice to know you have one coming before it ships.

I thought the exclusive was 850 and the regular was TBD

Not that it matters. I ordered the exclusive a long time ago and I intend to keep it :gun

Yes, 2,000 all together is quite a few for something like this especially when you consider that it's just an upgrade of the existing one that they made for the first film, which had an edition size of 1,000. I do think that the exclusive will be difficult to get since it's pretty attractive compared to some, but I don't know about the regular.

I got my Master Replicas Han Solo Elite Edition ANH Blaster brand new for $300 shipped and it was originally priced at $649. I hope we don't see that kind of thing happen with the Samaritan.

Man, $300 for Han's Blaster... thats a great deal :rock Makes me want to buy one :lol

I think the Exclusive will definitey hold its value... but I wouldn't be too sure about the regular. Although if I had the original I'd still probably want to upgrade to the new one.

We just might. It's a very large exclusive ES for a prop replica...

Is anyone here a good wood worker?? I want my ^^^^ing grips the way they promised them to me!! So if anyone makes cool wood stuff, I'd like to commission someone to make some for me!

I agree. 250 - 350 would have been the right ES for this. But at 850... I highly doubt it will hold it's value.

The original was $300 and had an ES of 1,000. Before this one was announced you'd be hard pressed to find one under $600. So, again it might not set the world on fire but think the Exclusive will do well.

I think it would be very difficult and expensive to commission wood grips for this that look good. It's got to have the BPRD logo on it, for one thing. I'm not happy about them changing to plastic, but I can live with it.

I was reading some posts on another forum about this issue, and I thought it was funny how people were making excuses for Sideshow. They were saying that wood grips would be impossible to make, because you couldn't get wood to look exactly like the prototype (as if that would stop Sideshow), or because it might crack or rot during shipment from China (as if there aren't thousands of wooden items made every day in China and shipped to the US). I'm sure Sideshow had a good reason to make the change, but I imagine it was just because wood was either too expensive or too difficult for their factories to work with. The major issue with that whole mess was that they didn't tell people about the change.
