Rant/

This is starting to get under my skin a bit. First they replace the grip without telling us. Then they push it back. And now they are pushing it back again!! This sucks!

They waited til almost the end of the month to tell us. It's not like they didn't know way sooner that it wouldn't be making it here within 10-15 days or so! WTF Sideshow??!! And no explaination, it's just hidden at the bottom of th NL like nothing is wrong. It seems like HT is the only one keeping up with their deadlines lately.

So WTF, do you guys show up to work late everyday and it's ok with your bosses or when you were in school you turned in all your papers late and your professor said it was ok so you just thought it was ok to continue with that behavior forever!!

And back to the wood grips cause that is still pissing me off. SSC couldn't eat some of the cost on this item with the price tag it has. I mean come on, it's getting made in China already, so it's not like they are paying out the ass for labor and we all have items lacking in the QC department from SSC.

Ok, sorry guys & gals.

/Rant

So have you never bought from Sideshow before? Delays in products always happen... its not a big deal, just have to wait a bit more.

Producing a limited high-end collectible is just a tiny bit different than showing up on time for work or school, or turning in a paper. :D

Galactic, well, I have only really been buying from SSC since like January, so I haven't really had this happen yet.

:lol And Lonnie, that's why it was a rant, it's shouldn't really make any sense what so ever! :D

But, seeing that SSC has been doing it long enough, you'd figure by now they would have a good system down too.

Yeah, I know. Sideshow has always had a "slight" problem with delivery schedules; for me, 75% of the items I order are either "early" or "late"!

I honestly think its just the nature of pre-orders. Seems any company I pre-orders stuff from you end up with long delays. Anymore when I see a date given I just expect at least 2-3 months added :lol

Delays are fine, it's changing the product without making an announcement and then delaying the product (twice) and only noting that delay with a single line buried at the bottom of a monthly newsletter that's concerning.

Well, the updates at the bottom of the newsletter are where we expect to get updated information. That's what that section is for.

I'll agree the change of material was dissapointing, but not a deal breaker for me.

Amen to that!!! This reminds me of a time I went to trade in a 2003 Gti I had, which had some 19" rims on it when I brought it to get appraised. When I returned the next day, I swapped out the rims back to stock and the dealership was like "WTF?!?!" Where are the rims? :rotfl

You can't expect to keep all your buyers when you unexpectantly change some quality details on an item
