Had a bunch of items "in cart" but by the time my funds came thru the cart was emptied and most of what I had was out of stock.

Is there a reason my cart keeps emptying? A new software or policy?

Items are removed from the site when orders are committed, not when they are added to shopping carts. You have to be quick. You're cart is being emptied, I'm assuming because you haven't committed the order before someone else did who also wanted the same item/s. We are not having any other issues otherwise that would be causing this.

I've been putting them in the cart and waiting for the Marcus head to come around again so I can get everything at once.

So do the rest of us. I miss out on tons of stuff I want, because somebodies sitting at home and orders what I've been waiting for while I'm working. You can't expect the stuff to still be there when there are limited quantities to begin with. I try to buy it as soon as I get a chance, so I don't miss out on it later. Most of these things only cost a few bucks to ship all together anyways.

True, but while the items I had in the cart were "limited" in quantity, they weren't selling. So after watching them for a few days, and waiting for Marcus, I carted them. Then all of a sudden they sold.

Yeah, but you never know what will happen. I've had stuff that's not selling in my cart for a week or 2 and then when I finally want to buy it all, most of the stuff is gone. So now if I see something I want I just get it along with whatever else is left in my cart.

Right, you kind of have to "s" or get off the pot when buying parts. There are no guarantees on whether stuff will or won't sell out and no one is entitled to anything, its more or less luck/timing. Besides you could just buy stuff off of eBay if you can't wait.

If I could afford Ebay prices, perhaps I would. I would rather support the vendors here than be extorted thru ebay. Being as it was "hinted" that more Marcus might be forthcoming, waiting seemed logical. I understand there are no guarantees, I just found it surprising that everything that wasn't selling, suddenly did as soon as I carted it. No complaints, just frustration, again.

You convinced me to put my order in now. Was going to wait to just buy some parts in person, but store isn't open till Tuesday so I was holding off. Order placed.

I sorta go through that at cons, passing up a table with an item I want to see if someone else has it for cheaper. More often than not, I go back after walking the dealer room and it's gone. It's frustrating, but I can tell you that biting on stuff when TA lists it is better than drawing out in hopes of finding everything at once. They always offer great service, whether it's from their website or Amazon.com store. They'll even refund extra shipping if you wind up placing an order and coming back that very night, or the next day to find even more stuff you need to order.
