A better episode last night. Better, but still not nowhere as good as the earliest season. I was convinced we'd see someone die last night, as the media has been going on and on about the rumour that one of the original male cast members will die soon. During last night's episode, I was convinced we were seeing the end of either Peter or Hiro.

I did have an issue with a major plothole, though. So Peter absorbs this kid's power to either heal or kill and he doesn't even think twice about it? What if he's unable to control it and ends up killing Hiro instead? Or accidentally brushes up against someone during the flight home and kills them? I actually thought he and HRG would escort the kid back to New York to heal Hiro, or better yet, Peter would simply teleport them all over to Hiro's hospital room. But why risk using a power that seems fickle about whether to heal or kill?

At this point, the only thing that's keeping me watching this thing is the hope that Sylar will not only recover his memories, but decide to unleash his powers against the super-carnies for trying to control him. Ray Park's character's days are definitely numbered...

Me too. I thought it was Peter, especially since someone mentioned a few posts ago that Hayden was pushing to get him fired due to their personal problems. And yes, Sylar seems like a ticking time-bomb ready to go off on the circus. However, I think the carnies will be able to take him. We haven't really seen a HUGE super battle yet in the show other than with 3 or 4 people.

well peter did actually die last night, just they of course brought him back 2 minutes later.
This is true, and I really hope this isn't what the rumor was referring to because that is really weak if so.

I think that he was dying, but wasn't actually dead. They made a point of telling us over and over again that the kid could NOT revive someone that was dead, but could heal any and all injuries.

At this point, the only thing that's keeping me watching this thing is there ain't much else on at that time. I flip between Heroes and House. :lol

Maybe its because I just started a new job and was really tired, but I thought last night's episode was really boring and barely held my attention.

It makes sense to me that Peter would take the kids ability because he seems to have the inherent ability to correctly use a power when he absorbs it. So to me using the kid would have been a much bigger gamble. What didn't make any sense was the way he popped up in front of the kid, that could have been planned better.

And why do the writer's have such a hard time keeping characters consistent? First the deaf woman wears headphones and refuses to speak, but now she's like a professional lip reader and can talk alot. And what's up with Hiro going back to save Charlie, he did that a dozen times in the first season and realized it couldn't be done.

I miss season 2.

This was was ok'ish i guess each week i live in hope that it will get better but it stays the same. :(

That bugged me too - maybe they'll try to explain it, but this writing staff doesn't seem to be bothered by inconsistencies like that. And the carnies seem to be awfully cold-bloodedly evil. First T-Bag offs his old bosses and their entire dinner party and then Darth Maul slices up our favorite Ghostbuster for no real reason.

i think it was the T-bag referance.

Hilarious!!! That's how my wife and I refer to these characters actually, because I can't even remember their names!!:rotfl:rotfl

How far the show has fallen...

I had to advance three pages just to find this thread. Further evidence that Heroes is quickly losing its viewership. And sadly, last night's episode didn't help the situation at all.

The producers obviously hope having Claire in a lesbian relationship will increase the number of viewers, but if anything I find that storyline distracting and immature. And now half the sorority knows about Claire's power and the invisible girl, so there goes the whole "normal" thing Claire was striving for. Anyone want to bet that Gretchen eventually gets killed, and that's what pushes Claire to resist Samuel and the carnies?

And that seems to be what the season is moving towards, the carnival "Family" against HRG and his team of supers. I'm willing to bet that Sylar turns out to be the deciding factor in that conflict.

The Parkman/Sylar storyline took a turn for the ludicrous as well. Parkman's an educated man - what the heck made him think that he could destroy Sylar's memories simply by getting drunk? You KNOW those memories will just resurface in the morning, and you're completely useless when you're that drunk, so what's the point?

Oh, and that kid that HRG and Tracy weren't able to save? Glad he's dead. I'm just surprised that neither HRG nor Tracy felt any compulsion to find out who killed him and dish out some justice. I actually started liking Samuel at the end of the episode.

Next week - Hiro and Charlie...again. When's the season finale, again?

This season is like the worst of season 2 and 3 combined. In season 2 hardly anything happened, and in 3 stuff happened but it was all over the place.

I don't get it, do they purposely get writers who suck. I'm convinced a handful of us could write better.

well two weeks and no replies in this thread, no one even watching this anymore???

well last week was somewhat watchable, but this week ???? me man now someone from the dead comes back alive and technically two main characters get killed off, well sort a anyways.:banghead
wth this show is so ????ing confusing i don't care if i ever see another episode.

Well,
I actually kind of liked last night's episode, the Sylar-Parkman bits were the best IMO, and the whole Kill Bill-esque Becky story-line seems interesting... Claire finally sees what Dad is capable of... again...
Even with all the inconsistencies, I still find most characters appealing and cool bits that keep me interested enough...

I wonder though, why isn't Peter even worried about Hiro's whereabouts?...
