dammit! i'm close to saying screw this show. they already took a long (7 weeks?) hiatus once before and now another 7 weeks?! WTF for? can't be any harder than making other shows that stick to a decent schedule. this is exactly why i'm glad Sopranos is ending. making me wait for a year and a half (multiple times) for a new season. plus it looks like Simone really is dead which pisses me off. she was nice eye candy. altho the new Illusionist girl looked really hot in the plaid skirt.

And I'll make a concession I realized today while talking to someone at internship about it...the commercial was misleading saying that someone dies and implying it was a main person, and if Simone heals herself then it really wasn't anyone but the mechanic lady who we had just met. And it seems like they pulled that once before (when Isaac died in the future maybe?), but I'm not sure.

True, they said someone would die, not a main character. Those bastards!

interesting when Linderman said something like "2 years from now, through a series of fluke circumstances you'll find yourself in the whitehouse a heartbeat away from the presidency"

I guess they have at least 3 season in total planned

Do you people not understand the concept of sweeps? There are two sweeps periods for television. The only problem is they are about 7 months apart. No primetime tv show runs for 7 months straight to cover both sweeps. They have pre-planned breaks to be sure to end the season in the middle of sweeps.

Unavoidable but true. Sweeps is when advertisers look at what shows pull in the higest ratings and then just their network spending accordingly. ABC had some stronger shows of late and so they bcame the dominant advertiser loved network. NBC is not so dominate and so now they are trying to spare a burn out of their good shows so that they may finish higher in sweeps.

Wasn't the last break during the Holidays? There's never anything on during the holidays, for good reason, I'd be pissed if I missed episodes of my favorite shows to spend time with my family. Guy's gotta keep his priorities straight...

So...when Peter explodes he's just a big fireball not atomic or else they couldn't be rebuilding in New York. Right?

Actually there are 3 sweeps periods. Fall, Feb. and May.

I LOVE casting McDowell - great choice. And good cliffhanger - but do we get the knockdown drag out Super Mutant vs. Super Mutant in the next show, or does Peter get away and they save it for the finale?

I say Peter gets away. Somehow though Sylar is injured. Peter can heal, Sylar cannot.

And yes, Peter goes all boom-y and not atomic. It's interesting though that he STILL explodes. However the vision is already altered because from the looks of it, Mohinder will not be there, Parkman may not be there, Simone is dead... very interesting. Always in motion the future is.

Great episode! I hate cliffhanger endings though and now we have to wait 'til freakin' April 23rd!

Oh well, Hiro's got his sword and see's NY in shambles, Linderman is revealed (I think he's the key to it all), Syler and Peter are gonna rumble and my beautiful Claire is getting closer to some answers! It's gonna be awesome when it comes back on.

Peter absorbs powers by touch whereas Sylar has to open the brain

Cliffhanger had Sylar holding peter in a choke hold so Peter has now absorbed and can do everything Sylar can, this might be how he escapes

Peter already has Sylar's ability, remember when the Invisible guy was whacking him with the stick and Peter held it in the air?

But Sylar got the super hearing since. Who knows what other powers he may have that Peter doesn't know about?

Remember that Peter has to consciously summon the power. When the Invisible Man threw him off the building, he chose to use Claire's power and not his brother's. Even if he was in contact with Hiro, he would not necessarily know how to bring back the same aura since he was unaware of his powers back then.

At this stage, Painter Man and Niki are just stragglers in the scheme of things. I don't really miss their presence. I can't believe I need to know what happens to HRG more than those 2!

One other thing to remeber about the break is March Madness is starting. They don't want to compete with that either. Ohh by the way I think I may have the whole spideman thing from the site saved.
