This season is really bad....I almost turned it off this week.

The show used to be awesome....even last season was great with Peter's father in it.

It better pick up or I may have to pass on it.

Cheerleader - boring...and is she wearing a wig? LOL
Hiro - not even funny anymore....sick of his I have to be a hero crap
Syler - same old story
Nathan - what the hell is he doing...I know there has to be more to it but yawn...
HRG- back to figuring him out again? LOL
The rest - who cares

Plus, where the hell is President Worf?!?!?

Underwater breathing boy? hahaha
Where is her flying boyfriend?

Man, this show is turning into a big joke.

lol dude the show has been a big joke since the end of season one!!

My wife almost didn't feel like watching this week's episode. She says that the show has been ruined and she has lost interest. I think we'll stick with it through the end of the season, but she's really ready to give up on the show.

My wife is the same way. She never been into comics, but liked this show and even now when we watch it she starts doing other things.

I'll continue to watch just cause I have no life during the week and I just sit in front of the plasma and veg after work. I have nothing else going on at 9PM on Monday nights, that's for sure.

Only way to save the show IMO is to go back to super hero basics. Good vs. Evil

Generic outline:

1. Establish good guys and bad guys
a) don't switch alliances every other episode
b) suprise twists on loyalties are ok for 1-2 characters ONE time.
c) defining personality and motivations early lead to a more relatable and stronger character later

2. Good guys battle bad guys
a) good guys and bad guys team up or work solo against similarly or oppositely powered bad guys

3. Plot must move from point A to Z in a linear fashion
a) always make plot logically formatted with A->B->C...
b) Avoid going from point A to C and back to B. Illogical jumps don't lead to suprise...just lack of interest.

4. Most importantly allow the characters to drive the story and avoid letting the story determine character.
a) In other words don't use paper to build a bridge just because you have a few sheets and need to cross a river. Building it doesnt mean it will hold any weight!

i agree that this season is a bomb. i think the show is probably gonna get cancelled after this one. seemed like a grand slam during season 1, season 2 wasn't so great, but i'll give the benefit of the doubt because of the strike, season 3 was pretty good in comparison to the prior season. this one the writers just don't know what/ where they want to do or go.

Daphne is alive and finally revealed.

And while the episode wasn't great, at least they seemed to be moving in a certain direction-- and the absence of
Hiro and Claire
in the episode made it seem to go smoother than their usual repetitive plot lines.

And the fact that this thread has fallen to page three now speaks volumes.

Neil tell me that you get Heroes on early in Canada and I didn't miss it because it was on an hour earlier...

*whew* Now I kinda wish I hadn't clicked the spoilers. :lol But it didn't really reveal anything big.

I tried not to. Like I said, not a bad episode and I can see where they might be moving things-- still there are tons of issues but the original write is supposed to take the reigns back shortly so maybe this ship can yet be saved.

I thought this episode was supposed to reveal Noah's loyalties. I missed a little bit, but he still seems as ambiguous as ever.

I think it showed that he believes in the work Primatech was doing, but doesn't believe in locking everyone up. In other words he's not really a good guy or bad guy I guess. So yeah, he's still pretty ambiguous.

Man...
this show is now beyond redemption...
another explosion?... that's lame... seriously... WTF???!!!
So, the show so far has had 2 companies with a 3rd replaced by the government
3 "Nicky's" with none of their stories completely resolved
Judging by the trailer a 3rd "boyfriend" for Claire
3 sidekicks for Sylar...
3 "future" painters...
and now repeating the explosion gimmick?....
Ughh!!!

It was a good episode, and I still love the series overall. I guess I'm just not that picky. :lol As long as it keeps me interested and entertained, that's enough for me. :D

I was about half way through the show when I realized I was soooo bored. I kept looking at the clock thinking....oh man is this OVER yet? Usually the plot sucks, but the dialogue is decent enough....not last night IMO.

In the begining when Peter, Suresh and Parkman were talking about the phenobarbitol....it seemed like a poorly acted info-mercial. Explaining to the audiance why the more obvious way wouldn't work.

Also, Peter is flying all over the place and swoops in to pick up Parkman. That was cool...but at the speed he picked him up at, and the fact that he probably doesnt want to drop Parkman....he should be a little scared that he might make skin contact! They really need to fix Peter's power IMO!
