i've had SS cancel my waitlist saying they were sold out only to offer me one months later...that was good of them though when they did that.

I don't like it one bit SSC. Totally unfair penalizing the true collector so flippers can bank off it. If anything it should have been limited to one piece per customer so MAYBE one of those poor souls had a shot.

Sorry Dusty, SSC should never do this, ever! Should have revived the Waitlist file docs and reinstated them properly. Bad policy, no matter the circumstances. All this does is screw over the poor guy who truly wanted this piece for their collection.

Rambo III was on Wait-List and instead of using the Wait List they had it went straight up for Second Chance...totally skipping a wait list that was CURRENT.

I can't blame anybody for snatching them up. But really, what's the point of a Wait List? Regardless of why they became available, they were sitting around. Why close the Wait List? I'm sure there were a small amount and I got on the Wait List way too late, but I'd rather have found out that people who had been waiting forever got them than that they just got randomly put up.

i remember reading about someone complaining about this very thing when i first started reading this board a year ago. a definite flaw in their waitlist system. sad that collectors that spend mucho denero seem to be missed and dissed. has anyone from ss ever explained their inconsistent waitlist? seems this has happened more than just a couple of times to people.

what is that supposed to mean? No one was missed or dissed. It was just a bit of luck. And I guarantee that I spend just as much if not more dinero than the above average SSC customer.

Same thing happened with you and the Symbiote Spiderman RAHs right? You got lucky and you picked up 2.

I can understand Hicks and Apone "slipping through the cracks" in a distributor's order (and sitting in a warehouse for what had to be at least 2 years right? These guys came out a LONG TIME AGO). So once again congratz to those that got these awesome figures! Now if you don't flip them, get a Les' Hicks head sculpt!!!!!!!

yeah, that's why i think a set "active" time for the waitlists should be put into effect. Instead of closing the waitlist anytime they feel like nothing is showing up anymore.

I'm guessing there were over 50 Collectors on the Waitlist who totally got screwed over. Maybe more. I'm not directing my comments to anyone who got this, my comments are directed to SSC. They couldn't retrieve an old file? Yes they can, it's in their email Waitlist correspondence files and probably on disk somewhere...

Seriously, take a few moments out to treat your Customers fairly. SSC should cancel all these "second chance" orders, send a gift card to those who ordered this with an explanation and retrieve those files and offer the pieces to the Waitlisters who waited 2 friggin' years.

Bad practice SSC.. you still have a chance do do the right thing.

I am surprised they had a 2 figure limit... that seems pretty crazy. It should have been 1, but can't fault the lucky for snapping them up. A tidy profit will be made of some of these buggers.

I wanted a HICKS too but I am not going to lose sleep or whine to Sideshow about it.As for the guys that got 2 ... Good for you. Pretty sure most people would have got 2. One for yourself and one to put on Ebay to make some money back considering how much we spend on these figures. One things for damn sure , I WILL NEVER PAY EBAY PRICES FOR ONE!!! My advice is perseverance always pays off. The thrill of the hunt. If you want one bad enough YOU WILL eventually get it. I know this doesn't help but it's how I feel about it.

I would have only bought one (I think...) but I don't really have a problem with those who bought two. I have a problem with the half-assed way SS handled this whole issue.
