His arms are too long

This was brought up over at SF... In the photos from SDCC, did anyone notice how long Yoda's right arm is compared to the SSC pics? It looks like he's trying to cop a feel. The position of his left hand is different too.



Sorry if this has been brought up before. There are a lot of SDCC threads.

That is very true! Those arms are really long... I've never really been impressed with this piece (except the vader head) and from the SDCC picutes Yoda just doesn't look good at all.

I guess I don't have a very critical eye, I never notice these types of things until they're pointed out. Same with jedi Luke's arms.

Same here, but then I've watched the OT dozens of times and never noticed that Vader's and Boba's outfits change.

Yoda's fingers look long too.

Funny thing is... it's in the movie like that too! Watch closely and you will notice that Yoda's arms are far too long in that sequence.

Either way, I love the way it looks and am looking forward to owning it.

Re Jedi Luke - anyone tried swapping the body out to a BBI 3.5 ? I bought a half dozen on ebay and noticed they were shorter than sideshow regular bodies - they're probably the exact right height for Luke - and the arms are in proportion. Only problem with mine is they have the flexible hands which have trouble holding stuff.

It IS an interesting question and I am very glad you put pics up of this. I don't remember noticing it when it was up for order... And yeah, the face does look a lot better. Here's hoping the arms get fixed by the time we have him in hand.

Something must have happened between the original SS pics and the SDCC version. I'm just not sure why they would change it when it looked fine the first time.

Yeah I hadn't noticed it before either, but both arms are too long. Just imagine him hanging those arms at his sides, that right arm especially would actually hang below the backpack!

Yoda's arms are also too long in the film, BUT they are not nearly as long as the SDCC prototype.

The hand position on the preview pic was perfect. Hopefully that is the version that ships to us. Notice the difference in hand position here:
