caved in and PO'd. sick and tired of cleaning mixed media stats so galactus being on a a near-LSF size, light up feature, reasonable pricing - gravy!

I've decided to get this I'm not going to PO just yet though. Get some things out the way & then come back to it. The only benefit of an OE

good for you. not a fan of shipping direct via SS so that's why im coursing it through my local distributor to save on shipping cost and have this guarantee that i won't be troubling myself on possible item returns. that despite this being an OE for now.

Welcome on board RB! He will look awesome, that i can guarentee! :yess:

Yeah definitely RB, he looks incrediable no doubt about that. I have a space ready waiting for him. Seriously you need to hurry up & move. Your got such an amazing collection, it will be awesome to see it all displayed together.

Thansk RB, i really wish i could speed it up mate but as you probably know, choosing a new home isnt always the easiest thing to do and with so many things you need to factor in, i cant see it being anytime soon :( trust me, theres noone that wants to see all my collection out on display more than me :lol I get bored looking at the pile up of shippers...although when i open them up from time to timei do get that quick buzz that you get from opning a new piece. Cant remember the last time i opened up my Hulk PF...probably about 8 months ago! :slap I need to take my Hulk Maquette out again this weekend to give the eyebrows a quick touch up and try to make them slightly more level to each other so that the right eyebrow doesnt appear to be so much more raised than the left and then maybe darken the hair slightly

Yeah it's frustrating. I'm the same though. Everything I'm about to get is going to come out of the box for inspection & then back in again. Until I get my shelves built I can't really display them properly.

I think its becoming the "in" thing at the moment in displaying high priced collectables. Recieve it, open it, admire it, put it back in its box and repackage it, display the shipper! :rotfl

Ha yeah at least you know your got them pieces though but saying that it is actually nearly as frustrating knowing there just there but not be able to see them. I should be getting Captain America some time this or next week but that will be going straight back in its box.

Thats where mine is dude so dont worry too much, like you said...at least you know its there now. I'm tempted to buy that Hawkeye PF EX on ebay at the moment. I've purchased off the seller before (Sean) great guy but i can see it hitting over 300 pounds and i know Lee @ CDUK will be selling it cheaper (minus the exclusive poster mind you) decisions, decisions...:dunno

I don't see the point of paying a premium on an Ex with just a print. The Ex does have a really low ES though. I think it's 300. I actually have no idea what the Reg is though?

Not sure abt the Reg ES :dunno im the same about the prints. Its nice to have but definately not a deal breaker. I'm not fussed if Hawkeye isnt the Exclusive, as for prints well i only have the Silver Surfer EX which had the print included and the Spidey Comiquette EX which again has the print. I wont be using them so they remain in the box. However, there are those who are majorly into this prints so i'm not going to say they are pointless, i guess SSc caters for every kind of collector so that no one misses out. Me personally, i prefer extra heads and arms!! :lecture :rotfl

I much prefer it when SS Ex's are prints just because I can buy from UK sellers then & not worry about import tax & all that bull**** :D

This will truly be a statue/sculpt for the ages, provided there are no screw-ups. Just can't get my head around the $800.00 price tag just yet. Tempting/ vexing all in one. SS stop price gouging!!!!:gah::gah::gah:

I think your complaints about price gouging are misplaced. Where you should complain about price gouging is somewhere like the LSF threads lol...

Agreed, as far as the LSF pricing is concerned, which are totally out of whack.:cuckoo: But the fact remains that labor, gas, & transport costs have not gone up by 150% to 200% in say the last 3 years, & yet pricing has shot through the roof.:horror Add on the reduced % of polystone used, reduced weight, rushed paint apps, & a general disregard/sloppiness with QC issues, & I call that price gouging.
