Doesn't look so bad from afar I suppose but up close its absurd. Hopefully HT puts out a few Nicholson joker sculpts, that being one thing that gets addressed. Normal looking Joker hair please.

To be fair, the Joker had that hair over his ears throughout the film . . . when wearing the hat. You see it in the promotional pics especially, which I gather Hot Toys used as reference.

On the subject of variations, especially the Mob version. Instead of making full figures, it would be cool if Hot Toys made accessory packs or something. A few alternate head sculpts (same quality as a full figure), some new gear, you know little things. I'm surprised they haven't done that yet. Figures from Batman and Terminator licenses would benefit from this greatly. Maybe for $100-$130 you get this nice little set of goodies.

I'm also surprised they haven't dabbled in "exclusive figure variations" or something that collectors hate. Like, have a DX Exclusive version of this figure. Same packaging, same accessories, but the head is painted different, has the black and white Mime clothes, different hat and a pen quill.

I'll say it again... if they weren't going to take the time to get the hat right then they shouldn't have made the headsculpt in a way that it was meant to feature the hat.

I would have prefer they make the headsculpt as he was seen in the hatless scenes, I'm sure none of us would be complaining had they not had the hair over ears look while wearing the hat, that would have been the lesser of the two evils...

Stupid hat.
