^ Thanks. I didn't mean for it to sound like I was calling you a fraud, if I did, I apologize. I just didn't know what to think of it because the differences was that noticeable, especially in hand. The QC issues with this figure is worse than I suspected if HT is making product with this range of difference. Damn, so basically you just rolling the dice when you buy a piece of clothing for him.

Yeah, the QC issues on this figure is plenty and the quality is frustrating. The most frustrating figure to work with by far. :slap
Unfortunately the only thing I can do for you and Snake Plissken (I sold him the hat too, not realizing how fragile the hat really is), and another buyer who bought the box set to find his hat messed up, is to offer an exchange or provide a full refund.

Hot Toys will hear it from me now.

you mad, bro?

Nolans joker has a SCAR smile, painted on makeup like a dumb little kid and had greasy hair. ledger was JINO.

I'd take Burtons much-greater-then-the-ultra-lame-comics Penguin over Nolans basterdization of the joker anyday .

And Arkham City's version is super-overrated almost as much as ledgers joker.

Post fixed.

Yeah the Keaton figure was a breeze compared to issues with Joker. Broken PERS, Magnets falling off, paint rubs, glue on coat yadda yadda yadda. Anyways the hat just went out so it should get to you quick. Thanks. :wink1:

I know what message you are trying to send and that is that having a unique character different from the comics brings originality and sometimes is a step forward to reinventing the characters for future comics.

However, Burtons penguin made feel sick with the way he looked with flippers etc and eating fish, which explains why I never liked batman returns. Whereas, Ledger's Joker was enjoyable to watch even though it was completely different to the comics. That is just my opinion but that might help you explain why people do not like Burton's penguin but like Ledger's joker.

this is simply a matter of taste. i loved that they made penguin a sort of half-animal (was he or was just pretending?) mutant type of deformed guy rather then just a really lame little chubby british guy in a "penguin" suit no different then the burgess meredith version. penguin honestly, before burton was never one of my favorite villians cuz he was so boring. burton reinvented him into this tortured almost tragic character but who is still one of the most evil of the batman movie villians, but his revenge tactics, though evil, are justified because of what happened to him as a child. i dont think anyone but burton could have given this rather silly 2d character from the comics as much depth and pathos while also being quite hilarious and over the top villian. some of the most memorable lines are spoken by him in the film. ledgers joker on the other hand....this is a character that is awsome both in the comics as well as the 60's show, there really didnt need to be any tampering with him to make him "up to date" with the times or darker, cuz he already is. when you already have a near perfect joker like nicholson, everyone else just seems pretty dumb in comparison. i expected joker to be more wacky and coolin the new one, not quite like nicholson but still similiar, but i was dissapointed, even upset that they made him into this average serial killer and not the joker. no gags, no jokes really, his laugh SUCKED. i was just very dissapointed and thus i cant watch that movie without thinking "WTF did they do to joker??" everytime.

Well, I am not too sure but I suspect there may be a slight "I don't like Nolan's version of the Bat's universe" vibe coming out through your posts.

It's subtle, and very well hidden...but I think it's there, none the less!

Seriously BF, your posts always seem to go the same way. This thread is about neither the Burton/Penguin or the Nolan/Joker.

The Nicholson Joker was perfect for his time, if you like big grand operatic caricatures rather than actual characters. It fitted perfectly into Burton's only half real world where people living in the 90's still dressed like they were living in the 30's.

Let's face it, when was the last time Burton made any film with actual characters in it, rather than caricatures?

Nolan's Joker not scary enough for you? A man who because of his so many lies about how he got his scars probably did them himself, is prepared to murder a person with a pencil through the eye, and is prepared to murder a whole ferry full of people to 'prove' he is right about human nature...

those people exist today and scare the crap out of me!

Yeah, because doing anything different and something we haven't seen before is a shame. Creativity sucks.

Really man, how much longer are you going to go on about this. You've went at length in many thread about your hatred for the Nolan movies but in the HT Two Face thread you go on for you love of the figures and how excited you are to have them all. :dunno What gives? You hate the movies and constantly put down the actors and the character they portray but you love the figures?? I would think you'd want nothing to do with them because you go on with such zeal for your distaste of the characters. I dunno...

Batfreak didn't always dislike TDK Joker or the new stuff. Something happened.

Well, too much time has passed. The best you can do is work with ebay and Paypal to get your money back. If he isn't registered on ebay, I don't think he can communicate with you unless you know his email address. Sorry to hear that, but hope you get back your money.
