Can you imagine seeing this 10 years ago and complaining about the brim size, or the color of the pants? Spoiled is not the word.

I would have killed for this ten years ago. I've spent close to $1500 on custom Jack Jokers over the years and only one even came close to this. I've spent countless hours customizing the ones I've had too and have only dreamed of getting close to the quality HT can reach now.

Very few, if any, are "complaining" about this little piece of art rather just pointing out small but relatively easy tweaks that could be made in order to make this even better.

Spoiled? You bet. No 1:6 collector these days isn't but what's the harm in talking about what we'd like to see changed to make a great figure more accurate to the source? Probably not as much as "complaining" about those doing so.

Rant over.:blissy

What do you guys think about this?

Looks good to me.

I like how people are worried about the brim but i don't see comments about the hat being a lighter purple than his coats, and in the promo shots it looks darker.

Yeah. And what about the collar on the overcoat being the same color too? :tap

Clearly the nature of 1/6 collecting is different than it was 10 years ago. What is possible now was not possible then. And of course expectations will change along with that.

The adjustments that are being suggested are minor, but for a company like Hot Toys they would be seemingly easy fixes. Resizing the hat isn't like re-doing a sculpt.

"little coco was struttin his stuff, spreadin his wings. he was bobbin, weavin, talkin trash! " :clap

i agree that when these gems are just a tad off we wonder how could they get everything so damn good except this brim? or pant color? you know? they come so far it seems kinda silly to not hit the mark 100%

Hey guys, I am deciding whether to do my mass preorders with sideshow or bigbadtoystore....Is Bigbadtoystore a official distributor of hot toys? Anybody ever preorder hot toys with BBTS and they were not able to deliver the item??

I hear what you guys are saying, and I know that its constructive and not trolling, im sure you've all seen some of these threads take a turn for the worse cause some people just want to spread negativity. And with this release still pretty far away I would hate to see trolls ruin it.

Sideshow is the official distributor for Hot Toys in the U.S. Retailers like Big Bad Toy Store, Alter Ego Comics, Cornerstore Comics, and Action Figure Express get their figures from them. The only thing I ever preordered from BBTS that they were unable to deliver was a DC Universe figure.

Im mayde getting Joker instead Batman.Joker looks so good but Im not 100% sure.I cant get both Batman and Joker.I mayde just wait for Batman Returns Keaton.

Man, your in a crappy situation. I dont think I could choose between them and if I did which ever one i got Id always have second thoughts. :lol But I do know where your coming from I had to make choices like that between collectibles before too as I dont always have the cash to burn. Im just fortunate that this time I do and Im gonna get both. :yess:

:lol Best Seinfeld reference yet, doc.

Your sentiments on the figure are mine as well.

Oh, man, have they ever took a turn for the worse. :exactly: I'm really surprised, and glad this one has stayed as civil as it has. Lots of 89 Bats fans here to discuss this stuff too. Like the good doc mentioned, it's so dang close that your just cheering for HT on to take it all the way to as close to 1:6 scale perfection as they can. And it sure wouldn't take much.

I understand it can be frustrating to see useless negative comments about a great looking figure just thrown out there but I hope I haven't done that and that others like Devil, MaulFan, Maglor and drjedisith just to name a few will continue with their constructive critiques. :duff

That emoticon would be perfect if it was Guinness :wink1: :hi5:

Who can say if it's an easy fix or not, could be that the reason the pants are off is because of some detail in the production process we don't know of and close enough was best they could do. People assume flaws are a matter of skill but there are other factors at play, just because a customizer can do it doesn't mean mass production can.

They've gone to great lengths on other details, that appear more complicated. Patterns on cloth are easy because often they are applied rather than woven. I'd be surprised if this doesn't get changed before it goes to production. If not, eh. We'll live.

Thank the good Lord this thread hasn't developed into another Batsuit Begins thread. So many stupid, unnecesary whining and rude comments ruin the boards rep and turn people away from alot of threads. Instead of reading about the figure or as you said constructive critiques alot of us are left to skim through countless pages of pure, off topic crap.

Others may argue with me that the off rail topics and silly arguments fill up the time until news or release comes around but if there is nothing left/new to talk about on the figure itself then people should leave the thread alone.

Im looking forward to what the packaging is going to look like on this bad boy. You know in that inner flap its gonna have: "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale of moon light?" Or at least it should.

Yeah the packaging should be awesome and I totally agree that they need this quote on the box.
