I believe that's because pre-orders from all vendors are no longer limited. The sky is the limit in terms of pre-orders, up until Hot Toys is ready to start production on the figure, at which point they call up their vendors and ask how many orders they've got. Then, they make that number of figures plus a little extra. Again, this is just a theory, but it explains why figures no long sell out until just before release, if at all.

Japa's CEO, Frank express in the magazine that he spent almost 2 years to discuss with Warner regarding the 1989 batman copyright. Both Frank and warner agree that if they cant make a figurine based on 1989 batman now, then the chances of 1989 batman being made into figurines in the future will be zero. The most difficult part is to get the agreement of Nicholson because Nicholson don't wish to get involve with anything related to batman. But Frank managed to persuade Nicholson. Frank says he almost cry when Nicolson nod his head. He emphasis that other than HT, there shouldnt be any other 12 inch collectible company producing the 89 Joker. Experience: no wonder the price of Joker is much higher than Batman.

I wonder how TOTAL.TROLL will spin this.

A year or so after release, these will be going for crazy prices. I can't see HTs producing anything batman related that's better then this Joker and Bats. The sculpts are just perfect.
