Get your friends, your parents, your grandparents, your neighbours, your teachers, your colleagues...... get them all to buy in on this one and we will see more HT Tron figures!!!!!
Looks like not to many flippers are jumping on this one if it is still available for preorder

Actually I ment to say. Since HT seem to have very limited light up effects on this bike and figure adding more using EL wire would be great but are they even bright enough? I picked up some cheap ones and they are hardly visible in daylight. But seeing how cheap the EL parts are from this other website for supposedly super bright EL Cables I probably order some from there to toy with as well :p.

:borg:

You got some bad ones. Or a weak inverter. The ones I'm using on my whiplash are really really bright.

I think I just got some really really cheap ones :lol
Gonna try to get some brighter ones. Any online stores you got good experience with?

:borg:

Any idea when this is coming out?
Looking forward to it greatly! I ordered it ages ago at Toys2.
:)

i knew i would order it eventually, and broke down and did it the other day when the bluray came out. now im wishing i had done it long ago, so when it finally does come out id be first on the list. :slap STUPID!

cant wait for this guy. gotta figure out a way to hook his batterys up to an ac inverter and have him plugged in all the time. any ideas guys?

Becareful. LED's are super low power and so you dont want to burn them up.

Hopefully it is AA batteries because those are easy to find power adapters for. The button/watch batteries are so low, it takes wiring skills using resisters and stuff. I tried on my Mark III and burned up the head, chest and one hand LEDs. For say 4 AA batteries you can go to Radio Shack and find a wall plug for that power and all you would have to do is wire it to the leads. I'll bet with the size and amount this will require at least 4 AAA batteries. The stand for the Mark IV I think takes 2 AAAs.

That'd be hard to say if you could hook it up to a wall adapter. It depends on how they setup the circuits.

as long as the batteries it takes arent impossible to find, i gues im ok with just leaving it on all the time.
the iron man mark 3 batt. were a pain to find, i rarely turn my figures on because of that, such a headache to get new batts.

anyone know how long, say, iron mans chest could run for without burning out? or any light comprable, runing on the same battery, just curious how long the button cells last.

turning it off and on really that big of a deal? I understand its cool and all, but why would you want it running all the time?

why not? if it were powered by the wall and can be switched off with the lights possibly remote I would so turn it on everytime I am in the room to stay. nice to have the option to have the collection in it's best possible presentation and this one certainly benefits from lights. Assuming LEDs dont fail prematurely of cause ;)

How hot do these things run? I know the LEDs themselves don't put out a lot of heat, but there has to be heat being generated somewhere?

I have my display cases on 24 hrs for almost two years and the only thing that it maybe doing is getting a little more dim.

Your display cases would be pretty well ventilated though I'd guess - would LEDs in a tighter housing - ie in an action figure or scale vehicle - be ok to have running 24/7 d'ya think?

They are not ventilated at all. Its a acrylic tube that is plugged at the top and bottom. They aren't air tight but they don't get any air passing through them. Have you ever put your finger to an LED, there is almost no change of temp there. That's what makes them so nice. And they really don't burn out. They just dim down to nothing.

They also are pretty easy to replace as long as you can get into the housing.

That's good to know Robbie, I was holding off on running my IM figs flat out because I wasn't sure about the heat affecting the figure.

The cycle and Flynn falls just outside of my 'must-haves' given the number of great releases on offer in 2011. Shipping is huge to my part of the world, which doesn't help things. But it's a sweet figures and if I had this baby on my shelf, I'd want it lit up 24/7 :)

Well I wasnt gonna buy into this line but after watching the movie I could'nt hold off any longer. I hope the final version is awesome, and for the price it should be. This will be my first HTs vehicle :yess:I missed out on the Batpod and Tumbler.
