Your display cases would be pretty well ventilated though I'd guess - would LEDs in a tighter housing - ie in an action figure or scale vehicle - be ok to have running 24/7 d'ya think?

LED's are pretty efficient, they produce very little heat. I haven't had something on all day before, but I've often had one on most of the day and it was just fine. I guess you could test it out and see how it's doing after a day. The only other thing is that this one isn't just LED's, there's a motor in there for the engines to spin. Motors don't last as long so that would be a risk.

yeah, its just a hassle to find the little switch and turn them on, like when would i turn thm on anyway? it would be cool if all the lights on all my figures came on as soon as y room went dark, as solar powered lights do.

no heat is generated. that is not an issue.

the motor being an issue is a good point.

Well I wasnt gonna buy into this line but after watching the movie I could'nt hold off any longer. I hope the final version is awesome, and for the price it should be. This will be my first HTs vehicle I missed out on the Batpod and Tumbler.

I have the movie on my Harddrive ..i think i may watch it tonight, but i'm afraid i may want this figure after i have seen it!

Just placed my pre-order for this. It'll be my first Hot Toys purchase, as well as my first high-end (read: expensive) collectible purchase. Can't wait! It looks stunning. I just love the way the lighting flows throughout the piece.

Thanks! There have been numerous other pieces I've wanted over the past couple of years, but for some reason when I saw this, I had to have it. I'm sure it won't be the last collectible I buy.

after waiting what seemed like an eternity for ht to announce a CLU version of the lightcycle, i gave up and decided to settle for this instead. put in my pre-order yesterday.

somehow the bad guy versions (clu, rinzler) were cooler. but at this point i think it's clear that ht isn't going to be making any more beyond the sam flynn version. still, this is a very nice piece and ht should do a good job, like the batpod.

Rinzler would have been great to have but sadly he won't get made. I'm surprised that CLU hasn't been made. Oh well.

I think the only reason anything other than Kevin and the cycle, is that they just haven't figured out how to do the suits yet. Kevin doesn't have a spandex suit.

As much as I want a Clu, personally I would be satisfied if we got Sam Flynn that wasn't stuck on a bike.
