Uhm, and you believe the existence of a giant space-crab hunter with dreadlocks..?

Dinosaur with spikes.. giant, extremely intelligent space-crab hunter with dreadlocks, various weapons and armors...

Yeah, you're totally right.

of course, but if we compare between Predator and Dog, the dog looks much worse as the alien creature. these bunch of horns, which are in every way will interfere with movement, nutrition and more. and if the dog is a predator, even more so why would he horns that stick out as a defensive mechanism, peculiar to herbivores beings. if you have any good examples for the existence of such a concept dog, i'll be glad to hear and see.

P.S. i hope my English is understandable to you

...

..It's an alien. Not from our planet.

You can't apply our rules, to it.

It's already been stated that the dogs have to rely on the Predators for food because they can't eat most things theirselves.

Who's to say the Predator's didn't genetically engineer them so they would have less trouble handling them?

And if you were expecting the design to be on par with the Predator's then you're crazy..

If we're going to do this whole "well, that's just not possible. It doesn't make any sense.." crap with made-up Alien creatures, we might as well just stop making science fiction movies..

With all of that said.. I was extremely disappointed when I learned that they didn't go with one of the other two designs for the Predahound. The first one especially, incredible design.

The dogs horns means they can't eat unless a Predator feeds them, which means they have to be good pets.

Maybe but I guess Frocksin has a point, they wouldn't have evolved that way naturally surely. Unless they have conscious control and mobility of their horns and can splay them when they're eating or something. :dunno

I'm positive that someone invloved with the film mentioned that the dogs had evolved like this and the Preds had to feed them.

Well if they evolved like that they'd be a species very much on the way out then. An organism has to be physically able to feed itself independantly. One can't rely on the happy coincidence of another species being around at the same time who will feed it, thereby overcoming the otherwise fatal handicap of these huge horns that prevent the creature from being able to get food into its mouth.

I dunno, I'm no expert on evolution but it seems unlikely. I can only think that perhaps the Predators somehow genetically engineer the hounds to have these horns, or to have pre-existing horns grow that long.

Should we agree that we are looking too far into a fictional cgi dog in an alien themed movie.:D :hi5:

symbiosis (ˌsɪmbɪˈəʊsɪs, ˌsɪmbaɪˈəʊsɪs)
— n
1. a close and usually obligatory association of two organisms of different species that live together, often to their mutual benefit.
Living in symbiosis, or having an interdependent relationship: Many people feel the relationship between humans and dogs is symbiotic.
