@Rory: your photos are great, it looks def. life like in your lighting. Personally I always use bit more of light, so the effect is a totally different one - some more pics of mine:

This is another one of those let me theorize and compensate by adding that he took a fictitious beating which completely makes sense that Hot Toys would of rightfully come to the conclusion that they could cut a corner by saying forget sculpting the nose bridge, he probably had that **** ripped off anyways.

But it wasn't as if we ever saw a flatter suface under Bane's mask where the nose bridge SHOULD be. There was more to it than this flat concave indention.

This is just like the we should accept a smaller Bane figure because Hardy isn't that big in real life argument. Give me the figure I saw in the movie!

Should I settle for a Ra's al ghul figure that doesn't have a mustache because Liam Neeson didn't have one in Taken 2? Granted that question is a little bit off the beaten path but you can understand my outrage
hopefully.

Also the two comparison images above don't really help the situation. The Bane figure image has a shadow covering the nose bridge area, and also that angle of a shot can easily hide the lack of nose. You need to take a look at a side profile shot.

I wasn't theorizing as to HT's thought process for the mask design or trying to justify it - that was just my interpretation given what was described in the movie. And as I don't display these figures under a microscope, I think it's highly unlikely that I will find this nose bridge error bothersome.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

So, I'm confused is this figure delayed till March or not?

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

i can't wait for mine lol im hoping it lands tommorow and gets through the system pretty quick

Sideshow told me march about a week ago

I assume Chinese New Year is the reason for him and Joker being pushed out by SS. My guess is at least one of them will come a little earlier though. I think they are just giving themselves a buffer rather than pushing it out again and again.

It's around the £30 mark - if goods being imported are over that value, then VAT is added, which is 20% of the value + postage. Parcel Force will then charge you about £12 'handling fee' because you have had to pay charges.

So, if you buy a figure for £150 + £10 postage then customs charge will be something like 20% of £160 which is £32. Then add the handling fee of £12. Final charge = £44. Makes your very expensive figure just that little bit more expensive and kinda takes the joy out of it a little bit.

:(

Just pray your seller marked it as a 'gift' and lied about the price.

I normally go with Dgray-man who does exactly that. Only this time i went with timcent and asked him to do the same and he said he would. so if he has done it or not only time will tell.

Not sure I'm afraid. Not mainland UK so luckily I'm VAT/customs free.

If the seller has marked the value down (Chinese sellers often do) you may be okay. My BatPod was in customs for a week after xmas but was released without any charges. If you buy from Sideshow directly you are guaranteed to get customs charges, and the reduced rate does not apply to 1/6 figures, so as J&B says, you pay the full 20% plus a bs £12 handling charge from Fedex.

Yeah i tend to stay away from sideshow. i go with uk sellers more often than not, get it late but meh avoid fees. i'll only go with ebay if i can't wait or uk sellers sold out.

Yes! Exactly the same situations with our customs in Greece...
