Now that i'm nearing completion :yess:

Bane arrives tomorrow , i mean today :panic:

Don't mind the head , i need to get one :lol

Check it out :wave

I think the blue light makes the pants color look off, coz it looks awesome in the previous picture.

And also the boots is not dirty enough IMO, looking at online photos of it, it looks like the boots almost turns into dark grey color because of the wear and tear.

Can't wait to see the final setup.

Just seen these! Holy crap. You cannot even guess what was being done to this to get it this bad. Total lack of professionalism, if you don't like the job of delivering things, look for another job!

Good grief, if there was a vacancy at my local UK FEDEX offices I'd give the hiring manager friction burns on his fingers snatching the work contract from his hand so I could sign it.

But you don't do damage like that.

I Appreciate all the comments guys, thank you, but if you actually read some of my posts, this is a work in progress nothing is final, just wanted to show you guys how far my figure is.

I have already said That I need to put the final coat of dark brown on the boots & weather them.

I have tons of photos of the actual hero costume from the film.

I will update when I'm 100 percent

Agreed, this was clearly done on purpose as you can't do that sort of damage just by throwing the box around carelessly. A bit of effort had to go into it.

I used to work in the transport industry when I was younger and one of the jobs I had was loading up freight containers, and sadly I used to see stuff like this all the time, boxes carelessly being thrown around in the containers, purposely kicked, punched, you name it. If the package had a 'fragile' sticker on it, it copped even worse treatment! Some people just have no respect.

Yeah, definitely feels, well maybe not intentional, but completely careless. Plus it had been taped back up, so it obviously got crushed enough to break open.

Didn't hear back from Sideshow yesterday, hopefully today.

We all know from handling such things, once a box is opened at one end like that, any and all strength and support is lost at that end.

Someone taped it back up. Small mercies?

I hope this gets sorted to your satisfaction Skooter.

I was about to have his entire outfit all together. Sweater under vest under the coat. Just like how it is in the movies! Gauntlet was tricky to get through the coat sleeve but it worked.

I cant believe you were able to get the gauntlet through the coat sleeve. I couldnt manage it and gave it. Its just way too tight.

How did you even get the guantlet on that hand?

The key was to rotate his hand with the gauntlet while pushing it through the sleeve.

How did you even get the guantlet on that hand? The straps on the gauntlet arent velcro, doesnt look like its meant to be opened up.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

I just twisted the whole thing while pushing through. The hand + gauntlet were basically "drilling" through the sleeve lol. Just don't get aggressive with the jacket sleeve or you might mess up the material. Pliers helps with easing the gauntlet outward too.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

One of my gauntlet straps pulled apart when trying to get it in the coat. I had to glue it.

So did you have to open all the straps and open the entire thing up to get the hand in it?

No, I'm pretty sure the straps are supposed to be glued down because when mine came apart, which was due to the force of trying to work it into the coat sleeve, there was no way for it to re-attach so I had to glue it. It stays closed. Look at the manual for inserting the hand and the forearm into it, but remember to put the peg in the hand first, not the forearm. When it comes to the gauntlet in the coat, I gave up on that after that little incident.

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

Does the hand with the gauntlet go on before the coat, or do you put the coat on first and try to get it in through the end?

Put the hand and gauntlet on the figure first. I also put tape around the hand pulling the fingers and thumb together to have less chance of getting hung on threads while going through the coat sleeve. You just have to keep working it and it will eventually make its way through.
