Yeah, it's really annoying. I think you can rig up an OK solution but it's definitely not cool on HT's part. A mfg defect line this on things this this expensive are not OK especially if the company's had years to hone their craft. Not good is it?
I've had mine left in his box since release due to lack of space & now I'm scared to open him up again
So how wide spread is this issue I mean the joints are supposed to be tested thoroughly.

That's a really good point, never thought of that. Still, an engineering fail from a company that should be thinking of these things...It's not really about testing; the joints have probably just been stressed over time by the diecast arms. There's a reason we're only hearing about this now, five years after release.

Sure, I agree. It probably doesn't help that Robo's articulation design seems fairly unique, so I suppose the likelihood of an engineering fail is greater, compared to something like Iron Man--something they get a chance to improve every year. That's a really good point, never thought of that. you can also pop his torso up from the waist (literally, it becomes higher) and move hips further from the torso to get a better movement and, in my opinion, a more accurate look. to get this legs separated from the body effect.
look at the hip armor tops to see what i mean:
maybe you will like it better, maybe not. it will look like this:
don't worry, both things are there in joints design, no mods needed.

also don't ever sit him on that chair or anything else without at least some plastic sheet. his shiny metal ass glues to surfaces, i don't know whether to some or to all.
thus, like all rubber stuffs, they tend to fuse with other rubber/plastic materials.
I put a piece of plastic from packaging between his ass and the chair. I haven't picked him up in a while, hope it's doing ok lol
