Question for those that have theirs, the "waist grabber" stand, has everyone decided to replace this with a "crotch" grabber? I personally dislike and don't trust those that wrap around the waist as I always feel it's going to ruin the clothing.

Thoughts?

I hate the waist grabber aswell, as I said in my mini review, Marty has 4 layers of clothing and there you have to put the waist grabber between them and becareful not to lose any buttons while doing it!
But the reason they did it is you get his legs free to get some poses out of him with his skateboard.
Thats why I tried to do some poses without the stand, cause it was bothering me.

Yeah I can suddenly see why they did it now you mention it. I was going to go out and purchase a crotch grabber (generic stand) from eBay but that would seriously limit things beyond the museum pose I guess. Now I'm conflicted as I really hate the waist grabber stands.

They (Hot Toys) did this with the MJ "Billie Jean" figure years back and for the life of me I still can't really think of a good reason why.

Literally sat here waiting to pull the trigger on ordering a "crotch" grabber stand for Marty and BD Robocop (because the big base stands take up too much room).

Edit: Ordered them. One thing you can't afford to do with things like this is let them "free stand". If they fall hard enough, that's an expensive breakage. Better safe than sorry.

Guys - lost a black button from the red vest / jacket! Are there any black buttons in that extra button set! My box is buried in a huge pile of boxes so thought someone here may know! Cause I remember seeing only silver extras when I first opened the set!

Yea there's extra buttons in the box, it should be in a small plastic baggie with the extra wrist pegs.

I just used a super glue. Just a small dab and held it in place for a while.
