I'm right with you on this one. It's awesome to finally see Drax releasing and for that I'm grateful. But man did they really miss the mark on that body. And after such the long wait that's very disappointing.

My pre-order is hanging by a thread now...after waiting so long to complete the Team I am faced with the sad reality that when this figure shows up I still won't have a complete Team...Drax from the neck up only is still not Drax...what a mess.

This looks terrible....but I have every other figure from GOTG V1.....even Thanos. This is a must have. I'm probably not investing in V2. This will be my first completed HT line.

Is this the biggest body Hot Toys could've used for this? I'm still keeping my preorder but I think it wouldn't hurt to maybe make a few more new body types for both males and females. Just a few.
Really think you guys are way over reacting about this figure.
Look, we did wait way too long for this figure. Also, now that we finally see what we are getting...it is a very plain figure. Then again, it's not like Vol. 1 Gamora's face was doing anything exciting either. The body is def less bulky than it could be but this time around, I'm going to just accept the figure for what it is.
That said, we do not, after all of this, have to settle on Vol. 2 Drax. We can all say no thanks vs. ordering and complaining.

Oh yeah. We have waited ages for this. Glad to say mines in the post. Hope it will be here end of next week.
Yeah I think the arms could be beefed up a bit but on a whole I think they did a good job.
It'll be interesting to see if they rework Vol.2 body.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread a few pages back, the only things I see wrong with this figure are simply the lack of any lats (which has a huge part in it not looking bulky as people claim because the lateral muscles are what gives someone a wide upper body) and the biceps are a bit lacking. Every other muscle group looks developed enough to me. Sculpt looks great also.
I really don't see HT fabricating an entirely new body for the V2 version. Just likely a repainted sculpt and body, different colored pants and different accessories.

Yep V2 has blue pants and a different gun. Unless this does not sell at all and V2 Drax might end up being like CW Vision.

The body looks terrible. Just watched the movie again last night and it's really not even remotely close to accurate. The tattoos and coloring of the body are great, so it's a shame they messed up the body proportions so badly.
I would also say the head sculpt is lacking as well but it's kinda hard to judge when the body it's sitting on is so wrong.

This is Sideshow Freaks. We always overreact when a new figure is released. It's crap, looks like tom cruise, i hate rubber arms, why didnt they use rubber arms, order canceled, it's not so bad in XYZ review video, got mine and it's perfect, lighting or bad posing make it look bad, it's the figure of the year, etc
