I hope he's not exclusive to any conventions, that would be cruel on the collectors who have gone all in for the set.

I'm calling a Drax & Ronan double set, complete with some yellow goo and a Hadron Enforcer SS exclusive

I know I would get one so I really would not mind..... but yes it wouldnt be fair to some

Sideshow has made a habit of selling the con exclusives the same way as other releases. Why would it be cruel? You used to have to go to SDCC to get them or be one of the lucky few to get the remaining online pieces, but not anymore.

They still make them in limited quantities though. An exclusive Drax would sell out really fast and most would not get one

That is true, but if the line is doing as poorly as some keep stating, I really doubt that most that want him won't get him. I know it's not a good choice because of inflated prices, but ebay is always full of the figures that get released from the other cons and fairs around the world. What exclusive recently left most people wanting?

I really hope this isn't a con exclusive. I could understand Ronan or Nebula. But not a key member of the original team. Makes zero sense to me.

I think this is what's holding me back from getting GoTG. I loved the film and its characters but with Drax in limbo I'm having a hard time going all in for the set. I wouldn't like a con exclusive but would get it nonetheless. We'll see what happens

Eh, if Drax isn't made it will be a bit of a downer, but in the end I can live without him being in my collection. He didn't appear in the movie till they were all in prison and he wasn't there when the other 4 were fighting over the Orb. You could make a cool display recreating that particular scene.

I know several collectors are just getting StarLord and none of the others.

As with Avengers, I don't think you have to buy every character released.

I think with Guardians that instead of Thanos, they should have done Ronan. At least he had scenes with the group, where as Thanos was only seen when speaking with Ronan.

Ive been saying it for months, this may end up being a con exclusive to get it our, but the line has fizzled very fast

Yes. How many people have already said they'll wait for the infinity gauntlet version of Thanos? Seeing as it's the most expensive figure out of the entire line, a lot of people are passing to put that money towards something else. A Ronan or Nebula figure would have been cheaper and would have sold better.

I dont know about that, he's selling fairly well in the UK apparently, sold out in some places.

It was weird that they chose to do Thanos but they know he's the long game with the MCU and they can make money with him now and again later down the line. They also have the body sculpted now making future releases easier. As with Hulk.

I would of like a Ronan figure too, but they need to release Drax first, otherwise everything else in the line is incomplete imo. At least Thanos can kinda stand on his own being an Avengers foe too.

I think we'll have our answers in July. If Drax isn't at SDCC, we'll know for sure he was scrapped. Really hoping that's not the case. As people have said earlier, I really wish HT could keep us updated on these types of things.

I hope this doesn't turn out like the Hot Toys Batman Returns figure. It was announced back in 2012 and it still hasn't been released.
