I doubt they'll scrap the hours put into this. At this point HTs would just put out whatever they have so it wasn't a complete waste.

Then again they could be making the best Drax figure EVER and just taking time to shape it the best they can

That's what I'm hoping is happening. Hell, hopefully HTs sees this as "Hell lets get this right now so when we make the GotG2 Drax, all we're doing is changing clothes."

oh hell yes they can!

Just listing items is meaningless. Hot toys can not release a single figure until it is approved by the license holder. (Marvel, dc, universal..ect)

Clearer picture of sculpting Drax. Clearly the Korean artist JC Hong (who works for hottoys) is advertising the skills of his team using the drax figure...

"Works for hot toys" is an understatement. The guys a CEO and usually the head of production onost if not all of their products. Anyone who collects hot toys and doesn't know JC Hong can just leave

Well, they show the sculpts of the 1/6 Tony, Vision, Scarlet Witch & 1/4 Tony and it was uploaded on the 22nd of this month. Pretty sure it's not that old.

It's the same sculpt so it's got to be old otherwise the would be no point resculpting the same expression.

Maybe. But a standard non-emotional face is the safest way to go with figures. No matter how many screaming faces and what not a character has in a movie, if the character is done with actor not cgi the standard "blank" face with take up over half the expressions. It's just the safest bet. You can use it in action poses, and though it may look a "little" off at times it beats using a screaming snarl face in a museum pose. That's more then a little off in appearance. If they decide that the expression is to be non action then a resculpt could be non action as well.

The issue with this figure was never (from the approval process) the expression. So I would be surprised if that was changed.

Edit-just to compare the two versions we have seen..and to be clear the unpainted head could easily be an early draft of the old, or could be a new sculpt..no way to know from what we have...that said..you can see difference in the tattoos
