I'm seeing $140-$200 for the chair by itself. Not too great.

I think I'm just going to do it. When I think about $250 vs. the original $425 it seems pretty good to me. I don't mind another Robocop. I wish I saw this sorta thing last year instead of buying the torso, arms and legs, but whatever. I'm glad Hot Toys made what they did, doubt we see any more Robo stuff at this point sadly.

I paid full price for both the Robo with chair and BD Robo and Murphy sets. I still don't really mind because I care about the character that much and didn't want to run the risk of missing out. Plus, if you ever want to get multiples, you can do so relatively cheaply.

doubt we see any more Robo stuff at this point sadly.

Yeah. I'm not sad about it though, I got what I wanted......except for a Robocop that's the right colour.....and an ED-209 who I don't have to worry will disintegrate over time. But other than that :lol

Well, I did it. No regrets really. Looking forward to having a complete Robocop collection (sans ED-209). I'm probably not going to put on the sticker labels on the chair. I didn't put the baby food labels on so it's whatever. The screen of Robocop from the film is already affixed on the console right? I only see the green monitor labels.

But yeah, other than the silver Robocop and crappy ED-209, this was/is a good line. It's too bad that it's considered so niche and nobody but us hardcore fans are into it. The original regular and Jetpack Robocop were their original classics back when they were all about "Aliens and Robots". I hate that it somehow lost it's appeal. I would love a blue Robocop 2 figure repaint and Clarence Boddicker but, yeah, not going to happen. I'm just so thrilled we got Alex Murphy. What a great surprise.

$250 makes me sick for paying full retail, never again

Don't feel bad. I did the same thing with The Dark Knight Armory. THAT stung and still stings. So glad I sold the Bruce Wayne out of it back when he was going for $240.

Everything evens out in the end man, don't worry about it.

Idk guys, put a little silicone on the Ed and it's pretty epic, only issue with it was the rubber(and ****** Asian voiceover)
I'm at 1.5 yrs and no issues at all, again, could probably pick it up for half of retail

BTW i had to disassemble a robocop body yesterday. one of my clean robocops came with a broken leg peg (the one that attaches leg to the body), so i managed to purchase a BD torso for $18 only and wanted to take out the peg.
i did take it out.
but DAMN, the whole thing is designed in a way to avoid disassembling and copying!
lots of details inside, and lots of screws, and screws are hidden with other parts. and three screws cannot be taken out without breaking some details.
just imagine that some design lines on his pelvis aren't lines, but are actual covers for screws.
p.s. it was funny to see battery slots in BD body. i knew they should be there, but still funny.

oh, it's not that bad, i'll take the peg from that bd body, and i also have another bd body, so 4 pegs all in all just in case :)
but i'm so afraid to open clean robocop because of shiny parts. of course the one that will sit in chair will be ok if one or two scratches appear. but it was a very unpleasant surprise about Robo designed complexity. it's so much easier to replace any broken part in human body and the likes of it (predator for example).

BTW paint is best under artificial light, especially LEDs. i have only white LED spots and stripes in place where i keep my collection, and Robo is all blue and violet under them, no silver or chrome.

I never thought we'd get not one, not two, but THREE RoboCop figures with Weller's likeness so that's something. I may pick up another clean Robo from PC and have DarkSpidey repaint it. A blue Robo from RC2 would be the cat's pajamas.

Speaking of DarkSpidey. Here are my two Robocop cops repainted by him.

Hi guys.
This question is addressed to those owning the mechanical chair. I'm eyeing it for its kitbash potential within the frame of a hi-tech 1/6 Aliens or The Matrix diorama. Problem is that, right off the bat, it doesn't look exactly like anything in those movies (nope, the chairs used to go into the matrix are very different). Hence, I'm considering ways to change its looks and configuration.
.
I've read that it can be partially disassembled, which might be useful. Just how much can it be?

Do any of you guys see any kitbash possibilities? If the chair could be detached from the black wheeled support and gray arm, these might be useful to... support something else, more Alienesque or Matrixish... I haven't made the connection yet, nor found out what to do with the chair itself, but I have a good feeling about this. Maybe someone among you might come up with an idea after this stimulus. In that case, please, share it! Some piece of equipment from some other figure, some old accessory from Dragon or any other military collection... I dont' know...

Thanks,
m.
