Why don't you just sell the CW Cap and get this one instead.
I think CW version is still worth some pretty penny.

I like the fabric suit better, and I like CW Cap to pair with Mk 46.

With having the CW version myself, the thing I fear most is POing this and once the hype wears off in a year, realizing that it was probably not a good $275 investment being that it’s so similar to CW Cap, and that I’m perfectly content with CW Cap.

That's my thinking also. I'm sure there are a lot of impulse purchases right now because the hype machine is in overdrive. But it doesn't look different enough from CW for me to double up.

My definitive "big 3" are:

Iron Man (Mk III diecast)
Captain America (CW)
Thor (TDW Lite Armor)

Thor is the probably the weakest link sculpt-wise, but nothing I can't live with.

That's a good group. Are you happy with the Mark 3? It was kind of a contentious release; I was disappointed with what I was seeing and passed on it, but I've never actually seen one in-hand.

Oh I do. I just wondered if that was the consensus as it seems to be. I don't care for Civil War personally.

I like TWS Strike Suit best so far of the movie representations, but wish it had the Concept Cap body underneath.


Best overall Cap for me is still Concept Cap. But then, that's a pretend figure at best.

But I don't currently own a Cap so I'm still deciding what's best to represent.

2/3 of those I have. I almost feel like I have all the representations of each character that I want.

I looked at the Strike Suit for that, but I'm not certain the tailoring will work on the new body.

The Concept figure is just so perfect overall... too bad its a pretend figure.

I would say go for EG Cap at that point, because he’s essentially a recycled CW Cap with scales. But it depends if having a fabric suit as opposed to a vinyl suit makes a great deal to you. If not, I’d just go with this one. One of those cases where if you have CW Cap already, I’d pass. No real need to really sell it for this. But if you have neither, just get this one.

They got the body right with EG Cap. The CW Cap comes close but if anything, you get the absolute best by getting EG Cap with the new body, scales, faceplate and classic Cap look.

Right now, I'm torn between EG Cap and Concept Cap.

If I can get a good price on the Concept suit I might just get it. Otherwise, in a year's time I'll see how this Cap turns out and likely add him to my small Marvel display.

I also believe over the next year we will be seeing other Caps from HT. There's no way they are only giving us this one iteration.

I also believe they’ll be doing 2.0 versions of previous Caps. TFA for instance. No way they’ll leave MCU for good after this.

I think this looks pretty damn good. I’m so happy about the new face plate, that’s pretty much exactly what I wanted when they revealed the CW sculpt had the swap out plates. It looks really good here:

The nose seems a bit long, but it’s very close to this:

Agreed, the Rescue Cap is extremely detailed and despite not being one of the main suits, is probably one of the better Caps to have.

I contest this hard. I knew I had more Caps (IW was PO'd, EG is likely, and is a stealth 2.0 hits it's a definite) in the pipeline and I needed to cut one, either AOU or CW and there was no contest. I still argue AOU is the best one they've done. Articulation is worse on the AOU, but the museum/mild dynamic pose is far superior.
