These things are rarely maked down significantly. Maybe $20 off with free shipping if we are lucky.
Correct. That's assuming you purchase from SS (but why would you even do that to begin with?).

HK sellers and local places will do a significant markdown if inventory sits around for awhile. Look at the WM Mk VI, I was able to pick that sucker up for well below retail from TBA.

And let's be honest, the price SS is charging for Rescue is hardly worth it.

Great fast customer service and shipping (up until this year) was around $12. They even combined a Thor and Cap figure once a few years ago and shipped it for $9. They were the cheapest i could find shipped. The shipping unfortunately has increased this year just like everything else.

HK-Imports are only cheaper if you manage to avoid taxes and customs fees.

And to have a chance of achieving this, the shipment has to be marked down significantly. Which means if anything happens on the way from HK to your home, the shipment is pretty much not insured at all. Tough luck if it gets lost somehow.

Not everybody is willing to take that risk when it comes to figures which are worth $300 to $400.

Well this is a new one for me.

After getting the charging notice 2 days ago from SS, today they sent me another e-mail saying it's been delayed until Oct-Nov.
Sounds like a lot of people got this. I was also set to charge today or tomorrow and got the same delay notice. Hopefully sent in error. We shall see.

Apparently, the delay emails went to everyone who had a preorder that hasn't shipped yet. Those who were contacted this week to prepare for shipping, should all be good to get theirs in this wave. The others, will probably be waiting until Sept or Oct. I got this directly from Sideshow

This is true. Where I live the lack of tax and shipping fee on top of the already-below retail pricing makes this worth it for me. Obviously it's your call a the end of the day.

You are correct sir.

I got the shipping email with tracking info last night.

Same here. Sideshow's point of sale system leaves something to be desired. Random shipping order, apparent back of the line if you change anything about your order and these emails going out despite shipping being imminent.

Same here. My guess is, they, like everyone else in the U.S. today, are also having staffing issues. So I think people who normally don't do certain jobs, are now being asked to. Hence the early arrival/delay emails, and your item is shipping/delay emails. Just an opinion, but it's logical to me.

I got my Rescue today from SS. Really impressive.
Did anyone else have trouble with her back flaps being stuck closed?

So it has arrived and the flaps seem ok. The connection piece for the flying drone parts are way weaker than I ever imagined. I am so afraid to try to stick it on her back. Will have to take some time to study this one in greater detail, including checking out all the lights. This is the last figure I ordered in 2019 and she took 2 years. I really hope it doesn’t take 2 years to get my 2020 HT orders… I ordered them pretty late, in Nov 2020…
Finally checked out all the lights today! Started posing her right next to 85. Looks great! Now my EG collection includes Cap, BW, 85 and this. Waiting for EG CM to join…

Just came back from Avengers Campus in DCA. I must say the cast members have my utmost respect for donning various Avengers costumes in sweltering heat! My family got tired of me saying how many of the characters on campus I have as Hot Toys figures really quickly…:ROFLMAO: (P.S.The Spider-Man ride is awesome!)

I like this armor design a lot (alas Paltrow has retired from acting). The more I look at this armor, the more it reminds of the armor suits from Knight Sabers from the 80’s anime cult classic Bubblegum Crisis. I wonder if someone in Hollywood will eventually pick up that IP and update it as live action or do it like the new Ghost in the Shell anime…

Got my Rescue figure from SS today. I had high hopes for the success of this figure, but it feels that the naysayers are correct, or at least, I am very disappointed with the quality and design of this figure. It just screams CGI and is hard to believe a female could fit inside this armor. The back section drone accessories are disappointing in that they are difficult to position correctly. The figure dos not look good with the mask on or off. Would have appreciated a bit more ankle articulation. I am hoping that weathering this figure will help it next to the BD mk 85. I have not tried to install the lights yet; hopefully that does something.

Mine came in yesterday.

I have to say that I like it a lot. I think the armor looks great!

I like displaying my figures with their helmets/masks on, However, I would not hesitate to display this with the open helmet if I misplaced the closed one. I did have one problem with the open faced helmet, a small piece on the chin fell of while I was putting the faceplate on, it seems like the glue failed. It is an easy fix but it is a little annoying and disappointing to have an issue right out of the box.

The armor is unique looking and is capable of a lot more poses than one would initially think. I am really happy with it and I think it will look great in my collection (once it is out of the attic).

Here are a few phone pics, as you guys know I’m pretty boring with my posing, but I think you will still get some additional info about how this thing looks ...
