So it seems HT is right, while Sideshow and Wookieepedia are wrong - the latter have probably taken a photo of the Sideshow version.
Ohhh...well damn. The other version does look a hell of a lot better though. This one looks like some kind of caulking gun.

So I knew it was a speargun; now I see it was the Pulce 40. So that pretty much proves it..Hot Toys is the first company that's gotten it right. So where in the hell does this other version come from? Can't find out how it came to be.

It might stem from the Holiday Special blaster:

If they didn't have easy access to film prop images they might've just used the cartoon as a guide?

[emoji1360]🤝 The Dented Helmet the best source of information for all Boba Fett fanatics and other kinds of nuts 🤪. Just a few hours going through the forum for all parts of the costume.

Also re the pulse 40, I believe the holster is also from that spear gun. Hence the the Hot Toys figure nod to this re symbol on the holster.

Yeah, that's what I first thought, but the animated blaster doesn't look much like the one in question. And it's even more of a mystery that they started making 1:1 props of it. It certainly looks like this old pellet gun I used to have.

That kinda blew me away when I first saw Hot Toys put the actual logo on the holster! Now that's what you call attention to detail. It's a shame they didn't give that kind of care to other areas like the right gauntlet with the little nobs on the side and such.

That's a legacy from the original Kenner figures. Without accurate images the toy company just invented something they thought looked right.

Tracking down the actual source for the incorrect blaster is a mission for someone to take up!

So I'm thinking about getting that Amban phase-pulse blaster (that's a mouthful!) for either my ROTJ or PP Fett. I just think it looks that damn cool; but pricey. Just wondering how many people on here would consider that blasphemy since it's from the cartoon?

..the hunt is on
Damn mess.
Pulce 40 speargun was made by Technisub and had a different holster:
Holster was a Nemrod and came their Mini Clipper gun
Well all be damned. The mystery thickens. Wonder why they just didn't use that Mini Clipper gun..looks cool, minus the dildo looking end piece. Guess they just didn't have one on hand. Same with the holster for the Pulce 40. Who the hell knows with Star Wars. They were all just Jawas scavenging for whatever they could find to use as props.

For anyone who ordered the figure from Timcent, did you have to sign for the package? Mine's supposed to be delivered today, so I don't want any false hope.

Yeah, it was a Nemrod. It's not quite as clear-cut though - there are two slightly different holster styles from that era, and also the front part of the holster that held the dive knife was cut/ground off, which in turn removes part of the logo area.

The Bespin Guard used pretty much the same holster as fett, though the Nemrod logo was covered or ground off. My understanding is that ESB Fett also likely had the Nemrod logo covered/removed too, just the outline of the logo visible - not the detail HT has done. Though I wasn't focused on Fett's holster, only the guard.

It doesn't make a whole of sense propmakers would leave a logo displayed on the outside of a holster like that, though there have been vestiges of logos left on some SW props (the logo on the Biker Scout helmet, needle on Interrogation droid etc)

I scratch-built a 1/6 Bespin Guard Nemrod holster not too long ago so I've been looking at ref pics of Nemrod holsters WAY too much.:lol

This pic shows how I tried to match what it looks like - the outline of the logo, but cut off because of removing the knife sheath:

Arrrg, mine made it to my city on Saturday for delivery today... and now tracking shows it in Tennessee on the other side of the country! I've seen shipping go a bit haywire before, but nothing quite like this.

Always seems to happen to things you want most too. That spare potato peeler you ordered turned up right on time right :lol

Just received Fett #2. It was sitting at customs for almost a week! Gonna start hunting parts/figures down soon. Wanna jump on the “Perfect Fett” build. I know, it will be a long and ever changing side hobby but some freaks in here have got some great ones in the works and I wanna have a go at it :)

Did a little work on my Fetts. HT is now equipped with SSC gauntlets and jetpack. Did a little brown-black wash on the trousers bottom and ported the fatsuit to my custom, which now have the ROTJ belt with Prepro pouches.

Looks quite a bit better. How hard was it to get the padded undersuit off the figure?

How is the chest armor on this one...I remember on the SS one people complaining that it didnt fit right...I had mine tailored to look better...But how is it on this HT one?...

SithThundercracker - did you use both SS gauntlets? Or just the right one? I didn't think the left gauntlet by Sideshow looked too good.

That said, your figure looks great!
