Got mine in today. Love it!! Did a quick comparison photo with my Sideshow V1 - Sideshow on the left, Hot Toys on the right. Definite win for Hot Toys!!

The left shoulder armor is removable on both the reg and deluxe (I have both). It is a royal pain in the *** to swap them out, and I actually broke one of them. I’m going to superglue the one I broke. I don’t understand why Hot Toys didn’t use Velcro for this.
Thanks for clarifying that they're both the same. The shoulder pad does indeed look very problematic and has me nervous. Yes, Velcro or a magnet but have been perfect. Would have been nice too if they used a magnet for the gun holster strap..haven't even tempted to put the pistol securely in.
So, how is the shoulder pad attached to the vest? Only got the regular version so i have no need to swap them out but am wondering. It is really secured tightly on mine and it doesn't look like there is a connector of any sort.
You have those two skinny peg connectors. I just pulled very gently on mine and nothing happened. So there's a very high chance of breaking those little pegs.

I haven’t messed with alternating the shoulder armor but was able to move the holster from the red fabric band to the belt and also secured the side arm. Using my fingernails to remove and about 5 min to CAREFULLY reinsert those little fricken plastic pegs. 2 on the belt loop and 1 on the strap. Takes some time but the soft rubber on the holster KINDA helps. Anyone who thought the jetpack was a ***** to put on...

I was just gonna slide it was of the sash..but I guess taking the belt loop pegs off is easier. Wonder how that debacle came to be..going on the wrong belt and all.

I've been preaching my gospel about the jetpack since HT Jedi Fett came out..took me years to figure it out after having to deal with crap like that with other 1/6 figures. If you turn the figure upside down and let the loops hang a bit, you can put the hooks in very easily

Yeah I really don’t know why they attached it to the sash either. Maybe to make it sit higher? Who knows, but that’s the first thing I remedied. Never had a problem with the any of the jetpacks either. Same technique but just sideways and used an unfolded paper clip to slip the loops on :)

Thanks. Glad i have no need to swap out those parts then. Will have to take a closer look though as i couldn't see anything when i first inspected Fett.

I'd love one for my Boba too, but definitely not for the price it's going for. It's just baffling to me why they're charging $250 for that thing while their Deluxe R2 with dozens of features and accessories is only $160.

I would say it's cause of the light up features, but R2 has that. From their point of view, they probably consider it a favor to us collectors to charge under $300. All new Han in Carbonite w/lights, new base with various options w/lights.....it sounds all fancy, but in-hand it's like $150 fancy. I have the Hasbro one which kinda, sorta serves it's purpose. But yep, I do want this one.. especially now that I have this new Fett. I don't know if I could live with knowing that I paid about $270 for this damn thing though.

I agree. It's hard to swallow their price for that block of plastic. And using my rewards points on it wouldn't feel rewarding at all. I would like to have it, but not that much.

Problem is the base really doesn't do much for me. Either way feels like it should have been $200 tops even in today's market.

I’m pretty sure Hot Toys will release a Han Solo in carbonite. Probably will look better, have better proportions, better light effects, and a better base. Why not wait for that?

Good idea. But ..... there’s always this eternal problem with this hobby.

I can't remember who did this recently, but does anyone know where to get some tiny clear tubing to place over the hose to make it look more accurate?

My goodness. Just checked my order status with Toy Wiz... Tragically, my preorder was refunded January 15th. I’m not upset that I got my money back, but I’m disappointed I didn’t set the money aside to buy him now... I’m afraid I can’t budget Boba because other figures are on flex pay...[emoji20]
