Yeah I'm really not seeing what's off with the shape of the helmet there. Maybe it could be a liiiitle bit wider and the visor could be a tiny bit narrower, but that's about it.

was 100% planning to only display this in the pp1/pp2 garb and keep the esb parts on the off chance i wanted to switch it up, but these esb shots look so good, i'm trying to convince myself i don't need a regular to display as well.

I originally thought just like you, then I put on his PP1 parts and he's going to stay this way. I'll just wait for Sideshow to send me the ESB.

I've always felt that Fett needs a slightly longer neck peg...Just slightly, but the actual costume seems to show more neck.

True. I pulled up the head some on my ROTJ version and intend to do the same with this. I think it’s really important for the likeness to show more neck.

Do you just manually pull the head up, no special instructions needed? I have been thinking of doing a head-swap with the ROTJ and Deluxe helmet when my Fett arrives, but have never removed the helmet on this figure before. Seems to be stuck in there pretty tight when I have tried to move it upwards before. Don't want to break anything but excited to have a few different costume choices for my Fetts.

Just like a regular head sculpt. [emoji4]

By the comparison pics REAL THING vs HT ESB, and especially if you have a look at Sideshow's bust of Boba, I'd say it is not only a problem of length, but also of diameter. Longer and thicker. Do you think guys a band of something could be put between the actual neck and the neck cover, to widen it without hurting articulation?

Every new Fett release does yield a new grouping of "nailed" parts - for example on this one the pistol holster looks spot-on. I just scratch built the exact holster for my Bespin Guard figure (the Besp Guard and Fett had the same diver holster in ESB with only minor differences) and the HT ESB Fett holster looks perfect next to the ref pics I used. The HT ESB Fett looks to me like it's delivering the largest number of "nailed' parts of any 1/6 Fett release, so well worth getting.

What would you label as "nailed" in SSC v1, SSC v2, HT ROTJ and HT ESB? Is there a recipe for the ultimate Boba?
For instance, I have read SSC gauntlets are superior to HT ones in terms of scale and accuracy. Is there any consent on that?

Those thick thighs are beginning to annoy me. Futzing will be required on them... Don't you think guys?
Also the head looks to big for the body, doesn't it?

I should note that I immediately added the slightly longer ankle pegs. Even if the height is accurate to begin with I felt that that helps with the proportions (he comes with the smallest pegs so it was just the next size up).

There’s no doubt these figures are still several steps removed from the actor in a suit, but some of what is seen in that movie still proportion-wise is camera angle (from down low) and helmet angle.

I’ll try to see how best I can match that later.

Longer ankle pegs on which ones?

Great pics right there, but they worry me: according to Michael Crawford, ROTJ Boba had too-clean a jumpsuit on him.
I supposed HT would fix that obvious mistake in ESB Boba. Yet, I can't tell from your pics. Sideshow's Bobas were already nicely dirty.
Hence: is ESB actually dirty?

Here you go:D

This is HT ROTJ vs HT ESB and SSC ESB V2? vs HT ESB, right?
These pics seem to prove my fears: ESB Boba is also too clean. Armour very screwed up, jumpsuit pristine. Not good.
If the left ESB Boba on the second pic is SSC V2, heck.... it is also very clean! V1 was not like that, right??
Also, is it just me, or the V2 hands are too big, especially considering the gauntlets are more in scale than the HT ones?t

This is usually how I display my figures, in pairs in the detolf, so just figured I'd do some different random combinations to show the contrast of the figure.

TonTon, that Han head, is it some custom work? By who?

Great shots, TonTon. I finally put in my pre-order yesterday with my preferred dealer. Will probably be a few months before I get him, but at least I'll already have a comprehensive list of things to customize by then. :lol

Why so long????
People are having theirs right now...!

Thanks,
m.

Longer ankle pegs on which ones?

The one level longer peg is on my Fett in all the shots. It’s very minimal but any more would probably start making the scale a bit screwy.

Han head is the Jnix ANH one.

I think the jumpsuit weathering seems about right. The armor is dented and scratched and whatnot. Yet not dirty. People can always add more but removing is sometimes more difficult.

Wow that's a lot of questions. [emoji3]

:lol

Not directed at you but I was thinking about that full body shot we’re using as a comparison. And you know what, that’s not at all what Boba looks like in most of his scenes in the movie. Especially the helmet. I tried to get the figure to look somewhat like that and it’s just not possible. But honestly it seems like a view of Boba that exists only in that one scene.

This is a better angle for how we probably see our figures. Crappy photo though.

Yeah that other shot was also taken from a lower angle, which would make the legs appear longer and mess with the proportions a bit.

Hey thanks for the info.
Is that ankle peg included with the HT ESB Boba, or you bought it?
Then you mean that weathering is on the jumpsuit, yet not easy to capture on camera?
