So I see Alter Ego Comics has an eBay page with this up. Might give them a try since I know they're a legitimate e-tailer and do accept returns.

Just got a Hoth Leia off ebay with the 20% off code. In box pictures look clean, but the guy is going to check for me when he gets home before he ships.

Nice score! I’m still shopping, trying to figure out what to pick up. She was on my list.

BBTS has an eBay account too but they don’t list much there.

Yeah, got lucky with a seller that had a good price and free shipping AND pictures of the in-hand figure. He's also quick to communicate and sounds cool, even after I made the purchase. He's gonna double-check the figure before he ships and send pics. Says I can cancel if there's dots. Can't beat that service.

Just when you thought you could string two pages together WITHOUT having to see this image yet again...

Thanks for bearing with me, guys. I’ll jist drop this off and move on (at least to other angles if not other figures)

I think I’ve come to the conclusion that there are only very minor (if any) changes in the sculpt from proto to production other than those you always run into moving from the original mold to the production mold. I think the narrowness of the production sculpt we think we may be perceiving is mostly camera angle and lighting. It just that JC’s paint work is peerless when holding it next to anything produced in a factory. The eye treatment of the proto paint job is superb. Noticeable drop off on the production, but still a top figure from HT, IMHO.

Cheers!

Very nice portrait. Very convincing.

I kind of want to make those "strands" by her ears actual hair. Would that look weird?

Your portraits always bring out the best in these figures. Leia arrives my way next week and the shots in here, especially ones like this one, really keep me excited for the figure. My shots won't compare to this, but it's great to see how good this figure can look!

Thanks and keep doing what you do with these pics!

Think I found a pose that I like for the moment, until I potentially find something better. In an attempt to sort of give it a Bespin motif as well as Hoth (the outfit) to represent both acts of the film, I was going for a pose of her walking down the landing platform on CC after first meeting Lando, hands behind her back, checking out the place.
