Yes, the ankles side swivel but be careful. The ankle diecast joint is not that strong to side torque. The first mk 7 diecast I bought suffered from extremely stiff ankles and when I tried to get the right ankle to side swivel the diecast joint broke! Another member had the same thing happen but that was many many posts back. I can't remember how far back. I sent it back for a refund. Purchased another from another vendor, got one with stiff joints AGAIN. I tried to make the right ankle side swivel and the same ankle broke AGAIN. I sent that back for a refund, finally got another copy from yet another vendor and this time, instead of trying to force the ankle to side swivel first, I figured I had to loosen the ball joint. I tried to loosen the ball joint by making it swivel back and forth first. That seemed to work. After that I tried to do side to side swivel and it was less stiff and didn't break. Whew.

Thanks for the warning. I'll just leave them be then lol...
Thats what i'm afraid of. The ankle swivel joints might be stiff because the paints sticks to the feet, it becomes like a glue.

Easily their best Iron Man figure to date. Fantastic proportions all around and articulation seems great as well. Although the ankle seem to be a bit stiff. Also a huge fan of the more matte satin finish compared to the overly plastic glossy looking coat they usually do on the IM figures.

This looks like a miniature articulated 1/1 of the movie 3D model. Really well done.

If anyone knows where I can get a spare piece of the back waist armor that comes off, let me know.

I want to like the MK7 but the square shoulders and rounded torso just doesn't go hand in hand. It looks like a barrel chested person with COPD or emphysema.

The chest on the figure is a lot more pooched out than it should be, thanks to the pod feature. The 7 is a chunky armor but the engineering of this figure didn't do it any favors

To add salt to the wound, that square shoulder edges easily scratch the back shoulder armor of you're not careful when posing it. Smh & lol...

Interesting to see so many complaints about the stiff ankles on this figure. I was thrilled when I got mine on release and the ankles were so stiff, after having a few of my older die cast figures have such loose ankles that it is a real balancing act to get them to stand up. I also suspect they all will loosen somewhat over time due to the weight of the die-cast anyway. My Mk 5 for example has gotten noticeably more difficult to stand than when he first arrived, and of course the crotch grabber he comes with doesnt do much to support the weight of the figure.

After playing around with the figure some more, I do take back the minor complaint about the stiff ankles. It really does help with holding the weight of the figure up when he's standing.

Some more photos of the figure I've taken over the past week. I quite like the last pose I did. Might leave him in that pose to have him be more dynamic on the shelf.

As a fan of dynamic poses, I love that each pose is more dynamic than the last. The last two look fantastic and also do a really good job of hiding how big the chest is (my one issue with the figure). :clap

Great poses, Hologram AI! The stoic stance is imposing, and the dynamic poses really give the figure the appearance of flight!

I've always known that Iron Man's MCU appearance is very much 'movie magic' in terms of proportions and suit movement, etc.

Although I love this armour by Hot Toys, particularly the paint, my one gripe was the elongated and thin knee region. I thought it was more of a concession to their transforming gimmick.

Maybe it's actually more screen-accurate than I previously believed. Cool stuff in this video:

Excellent video. It explains why the legs on the Mark 2 and 3 are so short compared to later models.
