Hot Toys 1/6 Star Wars future releases?

They are not pilots. It's just a lazy design of special unit - Inferno squad.

I hope they pilot something because these must be the lamest special unit ever: no armor, ridiculously large pilot helmet, no additional weapons/pouches. LAME!

I think it would have been way cooler to have the Death Trooper design for Inferno Squad rather than TIE pilot. The DT element is already established as a special unit and I find it hard to believe the Empire would have put all their eggs in one basket on Scarif.

Yeah but there is hope thy're pilot indeed... Hasbro is marketing them as Inferno Squad TIE Pilots and maybe this TIE Interceptor/Sith Infiltrator hybrid is their companion ship:

I'm still trying to figure out what the point of the chest boxes are if there's no hoses attached to them. And if it's really as simple as attaching hoses to the chest box and helmet if they decide to fly a tie?

I know the answer is probably "because Star Wars" but it just seems weird that they would have to manually plug in hoses everytime before taking off

And agreed they should've just made them Deathtroopers, or variations of them.

Am I alone in hoping that HT is eventually going to make more Rebels? Don't get me wrong, troopers are awesome and the three figures I want most (aside from the Jedi Luke, Emperor Palpatine and Hoth Leia that are coming) are Lando, Wedge and Tarkin, so main characters take precedence.


But if we're going to get all these generic troopers (stormtrooper, sandtrooper, shoretrooper, snowtrooper, etc), wouldn't it be nice to get some Rebel troopers as well? I'd love to see them make some of the Rebel troopers in the outfits they wore on Tantive IV, or the battle on Hoth, or Endor. I think they'd be cool to display with some of the Rebel heroes, or even with the Imperial troopers.

I doubt HT will ever get to them, but with the Royal Guards being made, I guess you never really know. Does anyone else want Rebel troopers?

Yeah, definitely could use more Rebels. It'd be cool to get some of the Blockade Runner guys to sprinkle on the ground, around Vader.

I like the idea...I think it would be cool if they did all of Rogue Squadron. Wedge, Hobbie, Janson, Zev, Dak, etc. I loved that N64 game growing up, so that would be some serious nostalgia for me.

Either way, I hope we get more Rebels.

I doubt HT would do them. I'm hoping a 3rd party will make "Rubble soldiers". Just the clothing and weapons, with interchangeable rank badges and markings. The heads can be whatever you have lying about. You could make a whole squad for the price of a single HT figure.

Didn't have access to that interview but he most probably hinted that it was too important a character from the saga to not be made... in the (near) future.

It probably won't happen but I'd like a General Merrick Blue Leader from Rogue One. I liked the character and the blue pilot outfits looked good.

And of course I want Poe Dameron. Absolutely. Let's see it Hot Toys!

Anakin is pretty much a given if they move onto prequel figs, I really wish they hadn't have wasted a question on it and asked about Tarkin instead.

It's pretty clear they're not going to be making Tarkin. They had their chance with Rogue One and they didn't do it. I'm sure they're well aware he's one of their most requested figures, but for whatever the reason may be, they're not making him. Maybe they don't feel he's going to sell well or maybe they can't get the rights, but they're moving into ESB and ROTJ full steam ahead now.

I think the last hope for Tarkin is if they reveal him with Krennic and Cassian at SDCC, but given that Palpatine, his Royal Guards, ROTJ Luke and Hoth Leia are all going to be revealed there, I think the chances of Tarkin are dead.
