Lol. The new design is terrible but in this case you don’t see it because Sideshow decided they actually had plenty of stock after getting my money secured 😛

But for future reference, it appears below the pre-order button. I wish they’d indicate it in some way on our wish list pages so I could see at a glance if any figures I have my eye on are at risk of selling out.

Thankyou!

I dont collect 1/6 figures so much anymore, but man I love this badass character. Really trying to avoid him.

You know that coming in here to tell us you're trying to avoid him will only result in people trying to convince you to get him, right? At least I will. Do it!

This is my most anticipated figure at the moment.

Yeah, this place isn't where I'd go if I wanted to avoid temptation. 😅

Looks like he hit waitlist.
It would be interesting to know the difference between edition sizes from a few years ago to now. I think everyone waiting to pre-order things in anticipation of steep discounts in the future when they're shelf warmers are setting themselves up for disappointment. I think about how over made the Endgame figures must've been, compared to something like this... I have mine on PO and can't wait to add Star Wars Raylan Givens to my collection :)

Yeah the piles upon piles of unsold Endgame figures because they made far too many must certainly be a big reason Sideshow’s no longer interested in ordering thousands extra. I think there’s a misconception though that each figure gets a similar edition size and therefore only popular figures sell out early; I think unpopular figures get much smaller edition sizes so they’re just as likely to sell out as popular ones. I also think Sideshow’s being more careful in how many extra they order for figures that are likely to see an alternate future release; don’t want to get stuck selling white speeder bike sets for 25% off because the brown speeder bike most people preferred became available.

I agree, it would be interesting to see what the edition sizes were for at least some random releases.

I will add that I've missed out on a few figures because I didn't pre-order but I've also saved a bunch of money on many more figures because I waited and picked up later on sale or from folks selling on the forum or Ebay. If it is a "must-have", I'll usually pre-order but if it is more of a "nice to have", I will normally wait. (sometimes missing out, unfortunately, after deciding that I really wanted it, later on.)

They last year or so has had me picking up considerably older figures for good deals.

Yes, I definitely think the less popular figures get much smaller edition sizes. Makes total sense.

Remember when we thought Cobb could signify a shift from HT towards more unique diorama-esque or ‘slice of a scene’ styled bases? Whereas now it looks more like those obscenely tall, cog shaped podiums are the future.

I honestly hope those ugly things won't be the future. I hope it'll be a fad right now, before they return to the regular bases.
