Interesting. Almost looks like he has Wolf-esque mandibles, in the sense that they’re pretty wide. Like, really wide.

Thanks for posting that.

avp giant mouth zone.
rodrigators single blade.
and what's with the mouth itself?

i suspected as much from the start, when photos of predaturd heads with mandibles too short to be able to close appeared.

^^^ Haha you always cheer me up P.! Indeed his mouth seem to be somehow altered or It’s just the bad light. Anyway planning to see it in theaters but having my expectations in the ‘Challenger deep’...

I remain cautiously optimistic. None of the designs since AVP really spoke to me, yet I've been able to enjoy the films when they framed the creature properly. If the movie's good, I can forgive a less than inspired design.

Plus it's a crap photo. Low-res with the contrast boosted so high it's only black and white, but it wouldn't be SSF if people didn't tear it apart after seeing so little. :lol

Its DX Luke all over again!!!!
I’ll hold any opinion until the film or better images are released. The leaks of the Preds riding in jeeps with people interests me. Not for the 2018 Coexists pushy ********, but the idea of there being something so tough to kill that a Hunter teams with its prey to tackle a bigger prize.

Wolf?!... :panic:

Armor is uninspired IMO. Random organic shapes stacked against each other, doesn't quite have the rigidity or confidence that I like to see in armor design. Gives the impression that the artists were more concerned with making it look weird and alien over functional. Compared to AVP (as utilitarian as it gets), P1, and even P2 (which was the most organic prior to Wolf, but still has some nice structure), Wolf is all over the place.

Also the scarred eye, missing mandible, and dual shoulder cannons scream fan service to me. It's like the Strauss bros took every cliche out of the book to make him appear the most "badass." Only thing they forgot to include were dual wrist blades.

Wouldn't be a classic P-kid post without him essentially saying something like that if your likes don't coincide with his, then you're not a "true Preadator fan". :lol

I'm the same way. You can barely make out anything in that image except for the single wrist blade and the long mandibles, which to me aren't deal breakers. The armor also looks like it may be some sort of Kevlar based military-esque armor, but again, you can't really tell. Also not a deal breaker for me, depending on how it's presented.

I'm a "true Predator fan" :)monkey3) so I'm happy that the Predator is returning to the big screen and he's being given another shot. Whether the film is actually good or not remains to be seen of course, as well as what the Predator actually looks like. I'm certain it probably won't be a fail across the board, as even if the film overall isn't very good, I'm sure there will be some shining moments in it and some good takeaways, just like the AvP films. AvP I thought was ok at best, but the design of the Predators in it are some of my favorite. AvPR was as a film an abomination, but Wolf is probably my favorite Predator.

Ah, finally! Voice of reason got the best of you. :D

To be fair tho, if he had a less comic booky looking armor I'd like him more. I don't have anything against scars and burns, it made him seem like a war veteran hired by crazy sectants to clean up their mess before officials find out. But then again, his armor didn't have the "old soldier" aesthetic at all.

I think wolf looks cool and different from all my other preds so I'm definitely in for wolf! Which looks better jungle/city hunter vs wolf? I can't decide, they all look cool...which movies are better...clearly the original. If you're a pred fan why not just be stoked for more preds?
