I bought the tumbler and the batpod and two TDK DX 02's today is their anything I should look for or a special way to remove the tumbler from its packaging to protect it?

I have no suggestions. I don't think its the unboxing of the vehicle that causes the chaffing issues. Your Tumbler will either have the bad marks or it won't, possibly depending on what happened to it during transport, if anything was put on top of the box etc. I think most people have some sort of scraping on their batmobiles, just some have it in more obvious places than others.

I was told from the distributor it had minor paint defects but they are so hard to find at a decent price I told him to send it anyway and maybe I can fix it. Has anyone else had minor damage fixed?

My Tumbler that I received three weeks ago from Toynk, had the usual white glue residue around some parts which I got rid of with a little bit of windex on some q-tips. It also had a few scratches here and there but overall it was in excellent condition with no bad spots or broken parts. I think finding a perfect Tumbler with no imperfections whatsoever is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It's Hot Toys and their quality control issues for sure. At least the Tumbler is not leaking oil like the TDK Batman DX-02. The HT Batpod I just received today had a couple of parts that had broke off but I glued them back on and it looks fine. Love these pieces despite some glitches.

Hey man. Congrats on the haul. BTW where did you get them and what is the going price now?

Any places to still pick this one up?

Sure BBTS has 4 Tumblers....1 of them is new and complete for $449.99 USD.... the other 3 have broken or missing parts for $325.00 USD :D As for the Bat Pod they are sold out at the moment. You gotta check their site at least once a day, and sometimes you might get lucky and snag a bat Pod if one shows up from time to time! Hope that helps buddy

Ebay I got the Tumbler for 509 shipped and the batpod for $340 shipped both from the US

holy crap! your arm makes the tumbler look puny :lol

...something tells me people dont ever tease you for buying movie/comic collectibles :monkey3

I was just thinking exactly the same thing!! haha
He don;t get teased about his collection ever unless it's really close friends that are bigger than him :angelsmil
Sorry... we should not discriminate against hulk like collectors

Wahh I got the same R2!!

Gorillablak718 totally goes against the geek stereotype which is excellent. He should become an ambassador for the hobby methinks.

Ha I actually have a funny story about Gorillablak. When showing the tumbler to my coworkers, I pulled up his video review of it on youtube. I kept trying to tell them how big the tumbler was, but it was hard to make out the scale since it was primarily the only thing in the frame. My coworkers kept saying that it didn't seem to be that big, until Gorrillablak came into the frame and picked it up.

Their expressions were priceless. Half of them were amazed at how big the Tumbler was and the other half were mesmerized by Gorillablak's arms. He really helps show just how huge the tumbler really is. Funny stuff.

Did a search for Gorillablak's video review. Great looking collection in the background too. Hope he doesn't mind me posting it here.

I agree with what he says about the interior, its nice but it could have been nicer. Those flat seats look uncomfortable and Batman kinda has to sit like a vintage Star wars figure - legs straight out, nowhere to lie his feet flat. Which reminds me - shouldn't it have foot pedals? Or is all that function in the handcontrols too?

I am sure it's ok as he posted it in this thread before. I do recall watching his review before and I am only on this forum :p
