Ok so here's were I ask my fellow 1/6 maniacs the following:

Do they want the whole tumbler?(if so, that's a huge risk and a lot of money to ship down there - will they actually fix the whole thing?? bad wiring and the LEDs replacement?? new roof with no marks???)

Do they want just the spoiler parts?? (If so, should I send them just that - maybe ask for 4 more for my fellow man here???)

The LEDs things I can prob. fix myself. BTW for those who want to fix theirs - they are 3mm LEDs which you can get from EBAY actually. for less than $5 you can get a 20pack!! just regular white LEDs. I will post more pics of DIY when my friend comes over to help me out with the soldering!!

So what should I do? email them back as to what they want specifically??

Oh... https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20-x-3mm-Amb...366?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f4eee916

Hey Vodoun...Based on what we use in our designs at work amber is very orange and not likely to give you that offwhite result you are looking for.
As for Tumbler replacement parts you, are better off to check with HT ones more but considering the shipping cost and the likelyhood that the replacement will not have the scuffing on the roof I say play safe and save $$ and just get the spoilers replaced.
Most of the email reads like your generic procedure to get replacement parts from HT so I would press for more detailed answer. Their English is not the greatest so I would phrase the question with all the details clearly and they would simply give you a yes or no answer. e.g.

Yes - I concur. Also don't buy the wired stuff - if you see my pics in some of the posts I made - the wires in the ebay listing are too long and not needed - you better off buying the LEDs bulbs with no wiring. Also I guess HT also foresaw this problem happening as they "pre-wired" the car with little white jacket connectors ala Tamiya LED kits - meaning only thing you do is rewire the LEDs to the jacket and plug it back in the connector.

Easy.

Regarding the letter - A fellow HT Tumbler QC survivor emailed me pretty much the same reply, play it safe and just get the spoiler parts. I will see if I can talk to them about giving me multiple parts for $$, and perhaps from my case I can help out others who also have the same problems (which seems to me, like many out there)

P.S. I don't mind making some $$$ out of this - broken Tumbler flap replacements for $15!!!

I haven't really looked over my tumbler, but can you unscrew the roof part with the scuff marks and maybe send it back to Hot Toys to get that part replaced.
Looking at the scuff mark is like having a hot girl with a big *** scar on her face.

Thank you for re-posting Geil. Couldn’t find the display thread so think I just leave it here. :wink1:

Hope everything going well. :hi5:

:wave

Oh it's in the show your shelf off section. You got to start one cause this case is epic!! Almost on par with the Detolf!!!
Well I won't be dabbing in Amy kind of work for a while.

I could have sworn the retail price for the bat pod was $250, but I keep seeing people seeling them for like $400, which is BS.

I'm pretty sure the retail price for the tumbler was like $450 or something.

This is my Dark Knight display at this time:

I plan on building a custom display area next year for it. Just to many preorders this year. :gah:

Thinking of selling the pod ..it won't fit in the detolf ..and my dcd dx bats cant go on it, only problem is its box is so big it will be a _____ to ship:(..

Hi guys this is my very very very first post on Sideshow Freaks.

It's me seb, some of you guys already know me now. Dino, Jeff, how's it going guys?

So I'm going to start here with my Tumbler. I got it like 5 weeks ago, and after all this time, I still can't find the words to say how great this piece is. I leave the LEDs on all night long, every night. I know it's not really smart, but I just cant help it, it looks so nice. Can't stop staring at it !!!

I just weathered the tires last week, those who are in my contacts on my facebook have already seen the pics. I'm still thinking about weathering the rest too, but without overdoing it. Just a little bit of plaster on the front of the car, to make it look like it just smashed through a wall.

I already bought a huge black laminated wood board, and I'm still waiting on a Huuuuge glass display case, that I should get next week.

Then I will put the Original Costume Batman next to the Tumbler, add some led lights that i got at IKEA, add a nice panoramic poster of the joker in back, a mirror in the corner so you can see the afterburner and rear tires, and that's it. I'll keep you guys informed !
